Casey James – Okay, It’s Alright with Me by Eric Hutchinson

This is his personal pick for the Final 3 performance. He’s in his guitars and it was kinda mediocre for Final 3.
Randy says, “That lyric…I wanted to hear more from you, this is down to the wire. Can’t do a safe song”
Ellen says, “This is the moment, live or die, I felt the same way as Randy” “This is really the night you need to bring something much bigger,” she says,
Kara says, “It’s hard to pick a song not everyone knows. You can’t take it to the next level.”
Simon says, “The problem is, it’s the most important night of your life. If that was a dinner, it would be the salad.” Simon says it’s not substantive–nobody will remember it. You sounded good, he says, but the song is a dud.

Randy Jackson said it was safe and it’s just okay and it’s alright, something that is not that interesting.
Ellen DeGeneres said he needs much bigger than that and blow the audience away.
Simon Cowell said he was like basking for a couple of dollars rather than competing in the most important performance of your life. Crystal Bowersox – Come to My Window by Melissa Etheridge

Crystal appeared with her harmonica.

Ryan asks Crystal what’s on her mind. Crystal said have fun, Ryan adds – get votes! It was kinda shaky performance. She has harmonica around her neck. It wasn’t the best but it was better than Casey’s!

Randy says, “I did not love the arrangement, what I did like, I loved your vocal on it. It all worked in the end. Good song choice”
Ellen says, “I agree, it’s the artist you want to be. Melissa would be very proud of you.”
Kara says, “I do think that you did get a little lost in the arrangement, it’s still a good vocal, you’re capable of a moment, I hope you have one tonight.”
Simon says, “I don’t think this was the most stunning version of that song, but what I like, you haven’t compromised as an artist. You came out and decided to do what you do. It’s a very honest performance. I think you made the right choice. Congratulations” Crystal says it’s one of her favorite songs. Wow. The judges skated right around the vocal issues.
Simon says its not gonna be the best performance of the song we’ll ever hear but he has to give props for Crystal’s originality. It was a very honest performance. Made the right choice to stay with her genre.

Lee Dewyze – Simple Man by Lynyrd Snynyd

He said when he picks song, he picks the one he can relates to because you can sing better the songs which you understand more. It was by a mile the best out of the three performances. Lee Dewyze will for sure go to the Finals and might win this thing!

Randy Jackson – Somebody here is feeling he could win this thing. Right zone. Brilliant song choice.
Ellen De Generes – You think this over. That was what we were talking about.
Kara DioGuardi – What you did tonight is what every contestant needs to do. Round 1 goes to Lee.
Simon Cowell – Song choices so far are okay but yours is on the money. I don’t think you just won round 1, but you crushed the other two.

JUDGES PICKS

What did Randy and Kara pick for Casey James?
Casey James from Texas.

I actually think the judges chose the best song for Casey but his attack is just too simple, but it was okay better than the first performance but still, it lacks.

Randy Jackson – This fits you like a bomb. Continue this, really, honestly.
Ellen Degeneres – I agree. That’s beautiful for you. That was really good I like that.
Kara Dioguardi – This showed the artistic side of you. You shine when you’re vulnerable. You changed it up but it didn’t stray enough from the original.
Simon Cowell – Much much better song choice than the first one. It was a lazy arrangement. There’s no such bigger vocal moment. No climax. It’s not wow. You sounded very good but, it doesnt wow me.

Kara and Randy keep on blabbering and defending their choice, its irritating.

She chose the song by Paul McCartney, “Baby I’m Amazed!”

She appeared at the stairs first with all black. The song showed her range and fits her soft side well. She has some strong moments on the song. The first song from her I actually liked.

Randy: Great song, great vocals! And we have somebody else in it to win it.
Ellen: I couldn’t ask for me. That was what I am hoping.
Kara: That was part of your voice we never heard until tonight. You did a lot of risky things tonight and it paid off.
Simon: When I heard the song choice, I was surprised. But now I get it, you prove you have soul. You sang it out of your comfort zone and next week, you might make it.

Simon Cowell chose for Lee Dewyze – wow they want Lee to win or to make sure he’s in the Finals with that.

We’ve heard this before but this is a big night for him. I want him to do something big as a talent for him as an artist and creating moment. This is his night.

Now, Lee Dewyze owns this night and this competition!

Randy: I am waiting the whole season to try to win it and make a moment.This is your biggest moment and the prolly the biggest moment of the show.
Ellen: I was happy that you trusted him. It was just stunning.
Kara: You were all the show is all about. The heart of this show this season, owned the entire night. Darkhorse.
Simon: Lee, I’m very proud of you cause when we sat down last week. This show is giving you a break. With that performance, you proved you are a fantastic performer and a great person, and I really hope for you to get through.
