UE Beats FEU: UAAP Basketball Season 72 Finals is Set for UE and Ateneo
Fatigue killed FEU Tamaraws as they were beaten for the SECOND TIME, sending UE back to the Finals, with the game closing at 78-72, today at the UAAP Basketball Season 72 Semifinals.
The twice to beat advantage that the FEU Tamaraws flourished as the UAAP Semifinals came to a close with the most heartbreaking feat for the Tams and a surprising finals for UE Warriors who are set to compete with the prevailing champions Ateneo Blue Eagles.
FEU apparently lead the first half with 51-45 but UE slowly redeemed through great defense. UE Warriors is now set to be back on the limelight after twenty-four years. Their remarkable performance of 14-0 in 2007 ended up in a dry finish, being swept at the Semifinals later on. This year, are they geared up to win the championship? What do you think? i attended ue high school 1986 and that was the last time i saw my alma mater win a championship. now that i’m here in usa i always wondered when UE will score a championship. thanks to global tv i have seen UE’s transformation to its glory years. perhaps this UE team of 2009 has a date with destiny. i remembered the wild cheers and blaring drumbeats GO RED WARRIORS GO FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! or the GO FIGHT RED AND WHITE!!!!! or BOMBA UE BEAT ATENEO!!!!!! hay naku it brought tears in my eyes with their 2 wins vs. FEU.
