Kicking off the Cinemalaya Goes UP 7 last week was ‘Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa’, with Rocco Nacino and Paulo Avelino leading the cast, with Jean Garcia. ‘Sayaw’ is a story of Dennis (Avelino) who likes his literature teacher Ma’am Karen (Garcia). To woo his teacher who is also a dance instructor, he had his classmate, Marvin (Nacino) tutor him the dances before he goes to actual class. Marvin fell for Dennis.

After fifteen grueling weeks of artista tests and talent challenges, Sarah Lahbati, the female survivor from Geneva, Switzerland and Steven Silva, the male survivor from California were announced as the Ultimate Female Survivor and Ultimate Male Survivor, respectively.

Diva Montelaba emerged as the Starstruck 1st Princess. Enzo Pineda was announced as the 1st Prince with Rocco Nacino as the 2nd Prince.

The announcement was held at the STARSTRUCK V Final Judgment at the Araneta Coliseum.

Really great results. The most popular male and the most hardworking female won Starstruck V. Anybody thinks this web design is awesome?

Looks like the votes will make Enzo Pineda win. In fairness to this guy, even if he has no talent in singing and acting, this guy has the passion and really wants to be a star. I won’t be surprised if he wins tonight because he gained more fans especially when Piero Vergara got eliminated.

His biggest competitor isn’t even the most talented person out there. A lot of people may have thought Rocco Nacino had the Ultimate Starstruck Male Survivor title in the bag but when we saw the scores last week, he was trailing behind. Its even the reason why they have to sacrifice Nina Kodaka.

Steven Silva seems to be the biggest threat that no one expected. However, it looks like the showing of scores last week was a desperate move for Starstruck to urge people to vote for their bets.

I, for one, think it’s still Rocco Nacino’s game to win. ROCCO NACINO will be the Starstruck V ULTIMATE MALE SURVIVOR. He will probably win because of his consistency; he is the clear frontrunner to win the title. He’s determined to win and passionate with his crafy. He’s the most polished and can even be a lead star in a bit.

Much has been said regarding the surprise elimination of Piero Vergara two weeks ago in the talent search Starstruck V. Thogh a lot of people are screaming for a wild card – looks like, GMA isn’t going to do that this season anymore. So if you are wondering who this Piero Vergara is, then here are some tidbits:

I just learned that Starstruck V had already axed two of the Final 14 Survivors. Fianca and Rye were the first two survivors eliminated.

Tonight, Starstruck V previewed a dance fest as this week, their mentor Douglas Nierras subjected them into real pressure and training in dancing. Douglas Nierras then chose two pairs for the hiphop performance. He chose Diva and Rocco and the second pair Nina and Sef.

For the ballroom dance, the first pair was Rox and Rocco while Diva had a repeat, this time, with Enzo. Enzo made a really good and surprising performance while Rox fell behind Rocco. Still, the Starstruck council commended the pairs for doing a fine job.
