American Idol 9 Top 6 Performances

It’s so sad that American Idol 9 started with a bunch of talented artists – we’ve got Ashley Rodriguez, John Park, Janell Wheeler, Joe Munoz, Alex Lambert, Lilly Scott – all who have been eliminated midway at the semifinals. We also have Katie Stevens and Didi Benami who were eliminated early at the Finals phase of the competition. I am seriously losing faith that the true winner of the competition is still at the list of remaining contestants namely: Michael Lynche, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Siobhan Magnus, Lee Dewyze and Aaron Kelly. Out of these six, I personally like Lee and Siobhan, and I find Aaron inching up the competition every single week. Crystal Bowersox and Michael Lynche appear to be overhyped while Casey James is just a pretty face.

You can see how frustrated I am when my post about American Idol doesn’t start with a ‘wow’ or doesn’t even include the word ‘amazing’ in the first paragraph. And yes, I am frustrated. If Lee Dewyze or Aaron Kelly doesn’t win this, American Idol 9 failed this season to deliver us the true idol.

American Idol 9 Top 6 Performances is Shania Twain week and everyone did really well, though I must say this is such a weak week for a Top 6 performance night – a couple of great performances made the night interesting.

Looks like girls are rocking this season’s roster of finalists! With few noticeable performance from boys which includes the Danny Gokey v2.0 Andrew Garcia along with Tyler Grady, Alex Lambert and John Park, American Idol 2010 looks to be a promising season!

With the ouster of two crowd favorites Ashley Rodriguez and Janell Wheeler last Thursday, Didi Benami along with my favorites Katelyn Epperley and Crystal Bowersox gets higher chances of claiming the coveted American Idol title this year. Along with these three would probably be Siobhan Magnus, Katie Stevens and a tossup between Paige Miles and Michelle Delamor.

Its just so sad that the two guys who left last Thursday totally did not deserve to go. Tyler Grady‘s edgy rock-hippie approach to songs will surely be missed. Bad editing and lack of exposure victimized Joe Munoz who is probably one of the top three best males this season. I am now quite sure that the males this season would suck. Of course, my prediction is that the Top 12 will be composed of Alex Lambert, Aaron Kelly, John Park, Michael Lynche, Andrew Garcia and  Lee Dewyze. I am banking more on to Lee Dewyze, Alex Lambert and John Park for the males.

So for next week, I am predicting that Jermaine Sellers, Todrick Hall, Haeley Vaughn and Lacey Brown would be the ousters, if they don’t show anything new. These four should have been gone a week ago! Ashley Rodriguez and Janell Wheeler are even better contestants than the remaining guys. This is so disappointing. One thing would definitely be great this season and that is if Didi Benami wins this thing!
