Miss Universe 2009: Miss Philippines Pamela Bianca Manalo
Its already August and another Miss Universe crown has to be relinquished. The pageant this year’s quite late; usually, Miss Universe is held late May to early June. This year, the Miss Universe Organization headed by Donald Trump decided to hold the prestigious event in the Bahamas!
Miss Universe 2009 will be broadcasted live by ABS-CBN on August 23.
To those who’re wondering who our representative is, its Pamela Bianca Manalo.
Will she grab the Mikimoto crown or at least be able to end the ten year drought (the last Philippines landing on the Top 10 was Miriam Quiambao – who emerged as 1st Runner-up to Botswana in 1999) or will she just be a thank you lady?
Let us find out. Weekly, I will be posting updates on the Miss Universe pageant. And hopefully, I’ll be posting my top picks for this year soon.
As of now, my top pick for the crown is Ada Dela Cruz of Dominican Republic.

ABS-CBN is the oficcial network to aire the Miss Universe (for Pinas)..It was started last year.
Actually, it has been telecasting the pageant for three years na.
sana manalo na ang Philippine rep., kahit makapasok man lang sa top ten…..

Good luck na lang kay Pamela Bianca Manalo, sana “manalo” nga siya! pero sa feel ko mahihirapan yata dahil ang gaganda ng mga candidato ng mga iba! Tungkol naman sa ABS-CBN….wa na say….masyadong ma-politika yang TV station na ‘yan..kala mo sinong mga magagaling mag-palakad ng bayan ang mga kumentaristang mga yan…hay naku..wala tayong magawa..hawak nila ang “MEDIA” eh…pero hindi ako nagpapadenggoy sa mga yan! I never watch their station..masyadong one-sided a mga mukhang pera!
