UAAP Season 73: 2010 Basketball Men's Finals ADMU vs FEU: Ateneo Wins!

UAAP SEASON 73 CHAMPIONS: The Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles – In a three-point Season 73 closure for the Men’s Basketball Finals Game 2 between ADMU vs FEU, the Ateneo Blue Eagles clinched their third championship title, 65-62.

Nipping the top seed FEU, the Blue Eagles’ Buenafe had to make a last push to win their basketball crown in front of 17,215 fans at the Araneta Coliseum, which aired live at ABS-CBN. He was also awarded as the UAAP Season 73 Finals Most Valuable Player with a stunning performance which includes a three-pointer just barely 20 seconds near the end of the game, giving a five-point margin to secure the win over the FEU Tamaraws.

According to their coach Norman Black, this was their hardest battle in the last three years. This gave them their three-peat and was the fourth team to have gotten such, others were UE, UST, DLSU and FEU. Season MVP is Ryan Roose Garcia while Terrence Romeo of the FEU won the Rookie of the Year award. Unfortunately, their efforts were futile as they weren’t able to contribute in the most important match this season.

UAAP CHEERDANCE COMPETITION 2010 RESULTS

UAAP CHEERDANCE COMPETITION 2010 WINNER is the University of the Philippines Pep Squad. FEU Cheering Squad and the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe emerged as the first and second runner-up. The champions, UP Pep Squad, won its sixth title, two titles behind the UST Salinggawi. FEU Cheering Squad’s first runner up finish marked their loss of a possible grandslam.

Ateneo Wins UAAP Season 72 Basketball Championships

Ateneo Blue Eagles smashed the UE Red Warriors in the third and final round of the UAAP Season 72 Basketball Championships, for the second consecutive year. Ateneo Blue Eagles won both Juniors and Seniors Basketball, back-to-back.

With their top player Salamat, Ateneo wins 71-58 in a game held in the Araneta Coliseum.

University of the East Red Warriors and the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles have been battling their way in clinching this year’s championship title. Most of you have probably seen the terrific performance of the UE Red Warriors last round, as they smashed the former UAAP Basketball champs, Ateneo Blue Eagles.

As of the third quarter, Ateneo de Manila University is leading, 41-57.

As of fourth quarter, 7 Minutes Remaining, 45-63, in favor of Ateneo Blue Eagles.
As of fourth quarter, 3 Minutes Remaining, live score is 49-69, looks like Ateneo Blue Eagles will be having their second time.

UE Beats FEU: UAAP Basketball Season 72 Finals is Set for UE and Ateneo

Fatigue killed FEU Tamaraws as they were beaten for the SECOND TIME, sending UE back to the Finals, with the game closing at 78-72, today at the UAAP Basketball Season 72 Semifinals.

The twice to beat advantage that the FEU Tamaraws flourished as the UAAP Semifinals came to a close with the most heartbreaking feat for the Tams and a surprising finals for UE Warriors who are set to compete with the prevailing champions Ateneo Blue Eagles.

FEU apparently lead the first half with 51-45 but UE slowly redeemed through great defense. UE Warriors is now set to be back on the limelight after twenty-four years. Their remarkable performance of 14-0 in 2007 ended up in a dry finish, being swept at the Semifinals later on. This year, are they geared up to win the championship? What do you think? Your guesses are as good as mines.
