Good Sleep

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

As you all know, I live in a co-ed dormitory here in the university. I like it here actually. Good facilities. Nice people, nice staff. And the food – much better than in other dormitories! All of these need to be accounted when choosing a place to live in -whether if you’ll be comfortable living in a double-decked bed or if you want the arrangement in our room customized. Of course you want to have clean mattress and bathrooms with proper sanitation measures as part of your hygienic living. Truly, this dorm accounts much of my needs and that is why sleeping in this dormitory is such a reprieve after a day’s work.

Tuition Fee

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Yesterday was a really tiring day! I wasn’t even able to blog about the recent happenings during the enrolment. Oh well, fortunately, I can still recall some of the remarkable stuff I did for the past two days. I went out for lunch in two consecutive days with PSME friends at Chowking and three consecutive nights with Brenda at Cucina ni Mamang’s. On top of that, the stressful enrollment process! I have enlisted in all of my subjects already however, one subject, EEE 1, registers a whopping 12 units on my registration form. I couldn’t afford to pay 12 units for just one subject. Then, I found out the reason why! I was enlisted in two lecture classes! How relieved I am! However, I also needed for the Computer Registration System to remove it from my list.

Oh, if only I have gold coins to sell, I wouldn’t mind paying 12 units for just one subject. Haha.

Happy 1st Year, Inghinyero.com!

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

A year go, my blog INGHINYERO.com was finally launched. Thanks to the efforts of blogging gurus Tonyo and Ederic Eder for helping me put up this website. I really owe a lot from you!

This is actually a birthday present to me, however, I felt like I didn’t treat it as a present, the way it should be.

2009 might seem to be a wreck for this blog. Primarily because its owner is a big douche for not updating it much and somehow, the blog has not been talking about him for quite a long time already. The blog focused on things beyond who INGHINYERO is and what he thinks of. Most of the time, I posted entries just because they are of interest for people whom I don’t even know – just to gain traffic and, earn money.

But hey, its a new year for INGHINYERO now. And as of the moment, I am trying to give a personal touch with all my posts since January 2010 started. Now, I hope the blog would give you bits of me while writing entries which I am interested with and recent buzzes which I feel needs my thoughts.

All I want is for you to reconsider, INGHINYERO.com. And I hope I’ll make it up to you this time, my dear readers! :)

Plurk Feature: Like

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Looks like Facebook had influenced Plurk, as the latter launches the feature ‘Like’ in the plurk dashboards of its users!

Now, plurkers can hit the like button if they liked what other people’s status are or if they just don’t know what to say but they want to agree with what other people are saying.

Just like in Facebook, the like button appears at the bottom of the status update or in terms of plurk terms, at the bottom of the plurk.

Also, Plurk added the Liked category along with its original panels: My plurks, All plurks, Private and Responded.

Oh Classes

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

How I thank God it’s a Saturday today. That has got to be a stressful week I endured last week. Aside from lots of responsibilities to attend to, being sick for a day – add to that, migraine attacks almost killed me. Oh well, here’s an update from the past week.

January 5
It was the first day of classes and nobody expected our professor to show up. Well, he has been absent for almost a month. Apparently, his father died just before the year 2009 ended. And it was really brief lecture he had. What we were a bit shocked was when he told us to answer all the fourteen problems in the end of the first chapter, he had just discussed and submit it two hours after. And yes, we were able to make it but that’s really insane.

Engineering and Los Angeles Movers

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

The past few days I’m back here at Olongapo after a stressful semester at the University of the Philippines has been quite rough.

My parents aren’t really happy with my grades. And because of this, they keep on thinking if I’m doing something they don’t know about. They’re getting kinda suspicious – in a really really irritating way. My sister, who wouldn’t normally nag me about these things, did. My mom spied on my cellphone and the text messages in it – I tend to get pissed off whenever someone does that without my permission. But my mom’s like that since ever – she wasn’t able to find anything, luckily.

The truth is well, I’m guilty of not studying real hard. I mean not like my other ME blockmates. I don’t know how they have mastered reviewing for exams just hours before it commences – when I, would normally take two nights off for a really major examination.

I really like my course, well besides the fact that I have no choice – it really is an interesting field to enter. There are also a lot of opportunities awaiting any mechanical engineering graduates out there. I have actually set my goals straight – finish ME, pass the boards and off to teach or off to field (in Europe!). But of course – that is the most ideal scenario and there are a lot of things that can really ruin that uhm, dream.

Say for example, this past semester, I can’t say its the worst – but definitely, its the semester that really got me hanging. From the six subjects, as of now, I’m sure I’ve already passed two – ES 15 and MetE 143.
No results yet for ME 153 and ME 142 – both of which are very critical subjects, I fervently pray I’d be able to pass them. For ME 164, I have to take a removal examination on the second week of November and for ME 165, I have to take a completion pass-or-fail examination on November 3.

The semester has just ended, the semestral break has just started – and what I’m thinking is the pre-2nd semester stuffs I have to conquer. I’m quite positive with ME 164 – but, unless ME 165 completion examination is take home, I’m dead.

As for ME 142, I think I passed :) Haha. ME 153, the least I could get, I think is a 4.0.

I want to go make time fly so fast so that it’d take me to that moment I’m done with college. Have my diploma, teach somewhere or fly super duper fast and take me to the years I’m a successful businessman after working in Europe for some years. Well, if all this fails – I can go with a Los Angeles Moving Company if I won’t be able to go to a decent company in the US. I can manage a Moving Company Los Angeles and be one of the best movers Los Angeles have!

What a random post, eh.

Cellphones?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Bah. I’ve been wanting to buy a new phone but then I haven’t been very much productive when it comes to getting my EON card. Last week, my phone was literally dead. I was left hanging amidst the Tropical Storm Ondoy (Ketsana).

Of course, my mom got worried ’cause she was not able to contact me. Fortunately, my orgmate Ceasar was nice enough to lend me his LG phone. I immediately texted my mom so that she won’t worry about me. I also texted her since I know most typhoons favorite Zambales to make a landfall on.

It was after the storm and when I was trying to make my cellphone work, when it actually worked. And so, I am online again. What do you think? Shall I buy no contract cell phones already? Yes, cell phones. I need to buy two. One for Smart, one for Globe. Rommel, that’s your target before October ends, okay?
