Scotty McCreery is American Idol: After millions of votes were counted, the country singer bested Lauren Alaina to become this year’s American Idol. Scotty McCreery was heavily favored by young voters as opposed to the Carrie Underwood ala Kelly Clarkson young version Alaina.
After surprise eliminations week per week starting when Pia Toscano, the powerhouse belter bade goodbye and then there goes unique artist Paul McDonald who left the competition a week after. It was Casey Abrams, James Durbin and recently been robbed from the American Idol 10 Finale was Haley Reinhart.
Who Won American Idol 2011 Finale? Scotty McCreery won over Lauren Alaina.

TODAY is the big day! Tonight, two of the girls will be our queens, this year’s representatives to Miss Universe 2011 and Miss International 2011.
Interestingly, in a pool of 40 girls, almost all have great chances to make it. Anyone can pull a surprise. Here is my analysis of the 40 Official Binibining Pilipinas candidates.
You will be reading INGHINYERO’s BB. PILIPINAS 2011 TOP PICKS!
Weak Chances
The following candidates, for me, performed the weakest. It is either they lacked in passion, their catwalk, their figure or their facial features aren’t really what the international market is looking for.

AMERICAN IDOL TOP 13 LIVE RESULTS SHOW UPDATES HERE
What a night in American Idol 10 tonight! This season probably has the best talents so far. Everyone’s inching up their game. While some have a tendency to drowse off the audience, there were a lot who made an effort to make a mark. Here’s what I think about their performances:
Lauren has probably one of the best singing voices in the competition. She reminds me much of a hybrid between Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. This girl is forgettable tonight, given a lot of performances were the bomb. With her singing first, I won’t be surprised if she makes it to the Bottom 3. But definitely, her performance is not one of the bottom, neither one at the top.
This guy seems to be singing his finale song already. Casey is clearly the frontrunner in the boys category. I won’t be surprised if he makes it to the Final. But I’d love for him to do Elliott Yamin rather than be borefest Taylor Hicks. As of the moment, Casey is #2 in my list.
Ashthon makes a Diana Ross. She’s great. Her voice is great but the star appeal isn’t there. She’s probably going to be in the bottom three for not being so popular. But then, Syesha Mercado made it to the Final 3, too. This is anybody’s game. With that solid performance, she’d probably have another shot.
Paul makes an awkward song choice, and a dorky performance tonight. It was unique but I don’t know if it’s something people would go crazy about. His David Cook-ish charm though, might still put him through. He’s too Damien Rice meets Coldplay to me. If he does good in the future, then he’ll probably be one to look out for.
Pia Toscano – All By Myself
Pia Toscano makes us love her more and more every week. Her performance was solid and at par. I remember Carrie Underwood but Latina in her. This girl would go far. The one to beat in the competition. She’s the type that even if you don’t give her the pimp spot, she’ll deliver and she’ll get a lot of votes. With three Latin decent in the competition though, it might be a sad support for the other two, Stefano Langone and Karen Rodriguez.
We’ve heard Adam Lambert before, and he’s not even as good as he is. But his boyish charm, unlike Adam, makes him quite safe at least for another round. For me, he’s in the top of the pack right now, but if people get tired of his music and all the screaming, this guy won’t go so far.
I’d agree with Randy on this one. Haley was snorefest tonight but she’s better than Karen Rodriguez, at the very least. She’ll probably be the America’s sweetheart, ala Kristy Lee Cook, this season so I doubt she’ll be going home. What I liked about American Idol 10 is that it felt like season 2, 3 and 4 again. Things are not so predictable, everyone’s great.
What I like about Stefano is that he always adds a new flavor in his singing and he has the looks. People, your new Kris allen has arrived. This guy has passion and the spunk to win people’s hearts. His performance tonight made him someone to look out for.
That’s probably the most boring performance I heard thus far in AI history. Even Julie Zorrilla’s failure in Breakway is better than that. I’m afraid Karen would go home this week.
The jazzy beat was awkward and there were some pitchy notes in the performance. Her voice quality’s good. This girl will probably safe for another week.
I’m never a fan of this kind of country music. But in fairness to him, he has an amazing deep voice. But this is Idol and versatility is one thing. Scotty may charm a few more weeks but he won’t be this year’s winner.
Stunner Naima this week! Never thought she’ll sing that song. But it paid off, she’s probably at the middle of the pack now. But I agree with someone’s comment over Rickey.org, she should control her breathing when she sings. It was a spectacular ending to a great performance night.

WATCH MISS EARTH 2010 LIVE STREAM - It’s the time of the year again – the final grandslam pageant is here! Miss Earth 2010 will be crowned tomorrow and here are my choices for the crown – Inghinyero’s Miss Earth 2010 Top Picks or Miss Earth 2010 Hot Picks.
MISS EARTH 2010 – NETHERLANDS – Desiree Van De Berg
Miss Earth Water – ECUADOR – Jennifer Pazmino
Miss Earth Fire – VENEZUELA – Mariangela Bonanni
Miss Earth Air – VIETNAM
While India’s Nicole Faria is the true goddess in this competition, MISS EARTH does not crown the most beautiful and breath-taking girl – the girl should be that one who they think can do her responsibility as Miss Earth well and I think that is where Desiree Van De Berg excels. She had been in three pageants in two months – she also represented Netherlands in Miss Universe! True determination, aye? This might also be the year when two Latinas would enter the Finalists and no Africans. Though I won’t really mind if an African will make it. It would probably be South Africa, Nigeria or Sudan.
When they lose one continent from the Top 4, they always make it a point – they would make it to the Top 8. So here’s the rest of the Top 8.
TOP 8
INDIA – Nicole Faria
SOUTH AFRICA
CRIMEA
CZECH REPUBLIC
With Netherlands, Crimea and Czech Republic representing Europe, Asia will have India and Vietnam. The closest contender for Asia would be Philippines and Japan. Africa has South Africa and both the Latinas make it to the Finals.
And the rest of the Top 14 are as follows:
AUSTRALIA
PUERTO RICO
ITALY
NORWAY – Iman Kerigo
SERBIA
RUSSIA (more…)

Let us first check out the top beauties from each continent.
ASIA PACIFIC. A lot of stunning girls are in it to win it in the Asia Pacific region.
We have Australia, India, China PR, Mongolia, Israel, Thailand, Philippines and French Polynesia. The stakes are pointing to any of India, China PR and French Polynesia making it to the finals.
EUROPE. Europe has proven to be Miss World powerhouse. This year, girls from Norway, Slovakia, Ireland, Sweden, Northern Ireland, Ukraine, Belgium, Wales and France are expected to deliver. Out of all of them, the biggest chances of placement are from Norway, Ireland and Slovakia.
AFRICA. It is the biggest surprise of the year as the African delegates are fighting it out at Miss World 2010. Candidates from Botswana, Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya and Ethiopia are on the running to make it to the Finals. The strongest possibility is for Botswana to make it to finals and either Zimbabwe or Kenya or both to make it as semifinalists.
CARIBBEAN. The Caribbean has only three girls with the likability to win. They are Puerto Rico, St. Lucia and Martinique with a long shot. El Salvador is the darkhorse to make it.
AMERICAS. On the other hand, USA is the only finalist material in the Americas region with Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay trailing behind.
