Its a sad morning for the Philippines and as the hopefuls to be iskolars ng bayan take their examination…

Corazon “Cory” Aquino, the first female Asian leader, the mother of democracy in the Philippines had just passed away 3:18 AM according to her son Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. She died at 76 three days after her family said she was already stable, after being confined for a month in Makati Medical Center.

The Philippines mourn as we bid goodbye to the symbolism and icon of democracy leading the popular 1986 EDSA Revolution ousting the dictator president, Ferdinand Marcos.

She will definitely have a space in our hearts.

Good night, Cory, not goodbye. Sleep well in heaven. May you rest in peace. :(

I am sure she is happy now, and she’s with Ninoy – they’re probably staring at us from heaven.

I hope that her death will signal something again. It was timely as elections are approaching din the next year. I hope Filipinos remember what she has done and do the right thing upon election next year.

If you’re a true blue Filipino, you won’t really ask.
But definitely, what we’re experiencing now is not democracy.
