American Idol Top 20 Results
A couple of surprises made American Idol Top 20 results a sucky night. Supposed early favorites and decent singers left the show tonight sparing eye candies and annoying personalities another week from elimination.
For the girls, I predicted a Lacey Brown and Michelle Delamor elimination but the Haeley Vaughn boot is quite expected. The girl did horrendous jobs these past two weeks. Lacey Brown made it better this week but her singing doesn’t keep up with the remaining pool of power singers. She’s very lucky she has that beautiful smile and those attractive eyes, though it gets annoying, this girl use charm to advance in the competition. Michelle Delamor is a victim of the no-show in the auditions and Hollywood week. That is why a slightly negative comment on her edgy performance last night was enough to kill her chances on the show.
Among the disappointments on the Elimination show is Didi Benami trying to be soulful, which is totally off and out of league. She is for sure losing her chances to win this. Overhyped Katie Stevens is finally getting the criticisms she deserve.
As of now, the girls with consistent performances were Crystal Bowersox, Katelyn Epperly and Paige Miles. Crystal and Katelyn would probably be sure to hang on a bit in the competition. Paige Miles is probably the most talented, but she lacks uniqueness and spunk. She is so boring and so forgettable I didn’t even remember she’s in contention.
Siobhan Magnus and Lilly Scott looks like they have a few more weeks to stay. But in order for them to win this, they have to make wise song choices or else one of them will spare Paige Miles or Lacey Brown from elimination next week.
For the guys, it was quite an expected boot with John Park and quite a shocker for Jermaine Sellers. Though I wouldn’t care much that Jermaine Sellers is gone for good, John Park‘s ouster is kind of tragic. The guy started out to be one of the male singers to beat this season. This crooner definitely has it but he kept on singing boring songs which sends almost everyone to sleep. I prefer a Todrick Hall elimination along with Jermaine Sellers though.
Next week, we will be knowing who will make it into the Top 12. Looks like the safe ones are Lee Dewyze, Casey James, Andrew Garcia. Michael Lynche, Alex Lambert and Aaron Kelly are in the midpack right now. That leaves us with Tim Urban and Todrick Hall. If they go next week, I really wouldn’t bother.
I have new favorites this season – and those are Lee Dewyze and Alex Lambert. I like that crunchy high-ranged voice of Lee Dewyze and Alex Lambert’s unique, commercial voice!
On a side note, I am loving Ellen de Generes as a new judge, Kara DioGuardi’s getting too irritating with her over reacting. And yes, I would have loved to see American Idol Top 24 boots Ashley Rodriguez, Tyler Grady, Joe Munoz and Janell Wheeler than say half of the guys remaining and, a quarters of the girls who are still in contention. And yes, I am now an addict in American Idol 9 online livestreaming.
