American Idol 9 to Air on Wednesday
Hit American singing reality TV show American Idol will be hitting the screens on January 13 (Wednesday, +8 GMT, Philippine Time). American Idol will bring back Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell as judges for its ninth season. Ellen DeGeneres, last September 9, was announced to be Paula Abdul’s replacement as the fourth judge of American Idol 9.
Idol Gives Back is said to return this season on April 21, in time for the TOP 7 Results Show. This season’s format is the same as the fourth through seventh seasons which means there will be no wildcards this time around.
Due to Paula Abdul’s sudden pull out from the show, Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, Mark Linn-Baker, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth were invited to judge at the auditions for American Idol.
For Philippine viewers, if you want to watch American Idol 9 Premiere, it will be on QTV at 6PM.

And yes, I am uber excited with this season’s premiere. Let’s just hope it would be as great as the past two seasons where David Cook and Kris Allen won.
