Vote DAVID COOK through Skype! :D

I don’t know if this is free or not, but its worth the try. You can use SKYPE for voting in American Idol! :] Woo. A friend has confirmed me about this information. So, yep, we can now help David Cook win.
First, you must download the Skype Application from http://skype.com. After that, get a username and your good to go.

Place calls to the 1-866 number there, then click the “Call Phone” or the “Dial” button, thn enter the 1-866 number. After that, hit the green button to place the call.

Simple, right? Help us! Vote David Cook to win American Idol 2008!

PS: I haven’t supported an Idol finalist this much, even Jasmine Trias nor Ramiele Malubay didn’t get any of this treatment. Cook’s just the best this season. He deserves to win this. Please do vote for him at the Finale on May 21. :]

AI7 Results: Syesha Sent Home

And as expected, we say goodbye to Syesha Mercado, the late-bloomer fiva. She was kicked off the game earlier as we welcome our new Final 2! :D This Idol season’s certainly one of the best: vocal-wise, the contestants were pretty much of level with each other; talent-wise, each has their own style and personality-wise, okay, never mind.

So, we’ll be seeing a David-David Finale, with a very tight competition ahead of us. Both Cook and Archuleta were considered the frontrunners the past few rounds. Well, Archuleta’s been hyped, in fact overhyped, that he might really be the next American Idol.

So, Cook fans out there. Let’s not forget that the cherub-faced Archuleta has a really huge fanbase, and well-established. With the youth vote at Archuleta’s back, I can’t see anything that can stop him from winning. Unless, Cook tops his “Always Be My Baby” performance and completely sweep away Archulater’s Finale performances.

This has been a really good ride. Of all Idol seasons, this is my most favorite. :) Who’s gonna win? We all know its going to be David. I just hope its Cook.

And with that, Finale on May 21 and 22! :D Let”s cross our fingers for our favorites, whoever you’d wanna win.

American Idol 7: Top 3

This is by far the best pic I can give you of David Cook. HAHA.

Syesha appears as a diva of the night with her glittering gown. Cook shows up classy and nice. Archuleta looked like ah, nothing. PEOPLE, listen to Simon Cowell this round and vote for Cook! swoon

Let us start with the judges’ pick for our Top 3:

DAVID ARCHULETA. And So It Goes. Billy Joel

Started boring. He gasps a lot when he sings these type of songs. Good voice, just feels sleepy when he sings. As I listen this in Youtube, I want to switch to Syesha’s or Cook’s performances na. Haha. I’m really not into Archuleta’s singing. Before I knew it, it ended na. Not really nice. Something I wouldn’t want to listen to.

SYESHA MERCADO. If I Ain’t Got You. Alicia Keys

Yes, it was smooth. Kinda boring at first. She could have shown a lot with the song but she didn’t maximize her voice through it. She still lacks connection with the audience that her belts didn’t even manage to give the audience the groove. She had a flawless ending to the song. It kinda souded like Alicia. She’s so gorgeous! :)

DAVID COOK. First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Roberta Flack.

The choice of song was hilarious. But he did a splendid job over a boring song. It showed how flexible he was. His belt through the end was simply breath-taking. This guy is fit for the title. Whatever song given to him, he can surely make it a hit. Simon, giving him this song, just challenged him to show that David Cook should be the next American Idol. And Round 1 goes to Cook and Cowell.

We’re done with the JUDGES’ Choice. We’ll see who rocks the second round, CONTESTANT’S CHOICE.

DAVID ARCHULETA. With You. Chris Brown

It sounds so nasal. It felt so forced. It felt liked he missed some lines. He made it so boyband-ish. Eeek. This is so not Archuleta, unlike what Paula said. He’s clearly not in his element. I sooo not want a David-David Final 2. And yes, it’s like a Chihuahua trying to be a tiger.

SYESHA MERCADO. Fever.

She’s wise. She chose another broadway type of song, but I don’t think it’s wise after all. It didn’t bring out the best on her. It was okay, but it’s not enough for her to snatch some votes from Archuleta and Cook. Syesha’s not going to be the American Idol, nor will she be able to perform at the Final 2.

DAVID COOK. Dare You To Move. Switchfoot

I liked the changes he made on the chorus. It rocked everyone’s world when he shifted notes in the chorus. Other than some glitches on high notes and the performance being a little pitchy to some extent, it was soothing. It was an okay performance, which would take you by storm at parts.

We have the last round now, the PRODUCER’S Choice.

SYESHA MERCADO. Beat Me Up

It was cool, kinda preppy. It’s a Syesha song. It kinda looks like she has a chance to escape another elimination. This performance showed a lot of versatility. She looks like a star now. Unlike before, she looked so amateur-ish. She did way better than Archuleta though. The judges are telling her she’s not gonna make it on the Final 2. Let’s see tomorrow, who’ll get axed. I can feel Archuleta going home.

DAVID ARCHULETA. Longer. Dan Folgeberg

Boring again. It sounds unoriginal, it sounds like the previously recorded version. I still hear his gasping in this song. Boring. Steady. Worst performance of the evening. For me, it’s a little unclear. Everything. I can sleep now. What are the judges saying? Its not a lovely performance.

DAVID COOK. I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing. Aerosmith

It’s the potential song of the night. The only unforgettable song of the Final 3. It’s amazing, awesome and the switching’s good. It felt like he’s gonna win this and it’s his winning performance. It’s the best song of the night. Cook woke me up after Archuleta and Syesha’s boring performances.

Oh my gosh, I have the following ranking for the past three rounds:
1) David Cook; 2) Syesha Mercado; 3) Archuleta.

Who’s gonna be our Final 2? Yes, as you have predicted, its going to be the Davids.
Syesha tried so hard but the judges banged her out this week.

Syesha and Cook should be the Final Two.

Pinoy Power at New 7 Wonders of Nature!

Guys, I have been informed that there is this thing called the New 7 Wonders of Nature. We might have been robbed a place at the New 7 Wonders of the World, but hey, here’s another chance to show how world-class our country is. Let’s support the Chocolate Hills and Tubattaha Reef.

Does It Have to Be Mother's Day….

for you to appreciate those who have given you care and concern for the past years of your life?

It doesn’t have to be. As long as you exchange this, with love and care too. It’s enough. I posted this late, actually a day after the so-called “Mother’s Day” celebration. Intentionally, because no matter what day it is in a month or in my lifetime, I celebrate “Mother’s Day”. I celebrate it everyday, by being the son my mom wants me to be and by being the brother, helping his sister raising her kid.

The past year has been a little different for us. A lot of things changed; along with it, my sister gave birth to my first nephew, which we fondly called, Bebeng or Bruno, Lebron Rian Amos.

I know my sister’s doing a fine job with my nephew. She loves him so dearly and will not do anything to harm her child. I salute my sister for coping up with the situation well. I do believe that even if she has a long way to run, being a mother, she’ll do well. She can’t be wrong, she’s raised by my mom.

My mom, since then, has been shouldering all the responsibilities in our home. Aside from that, she’s also the one who makes sure, that me, my sister and my brother are fine, even if we’re away from her. Though, my father’s there to support her; he can’t really do a lot since he’s already 66 and he’s ill with a respiratory disease.

My mother always ails in pain. She’s also ill, with kidney stone though. But she still manages to carry it all out for the sake of our family. I might not be able to translate all in words. And I might not be able to thank her every moment and everything she sacrifices for us, but I want her to know, that I really appreciate her.

I know I’ve been quite a demon as a child, and as now, as an oldie. LOL.
Forgive me mom, I know you know that I love you. :)

For that, “Happy Mother’s Day” na din. :)

Parvati Shallow is the Sole Survivor!

I can’t be any happier. Parvati is my season bet for Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favorites. She outlasted nine former Survivor players and ten newbies to covet the title. The powerhouse Final 4 was made up of Amanda, Cirie, Parvati and the lone Fan Natalie.

It was the last of Natalie when she didn’t win the Immunity Challenge. Therefore, Amanda, Cirie and Parvati voted her out 3-1. As the Final 3 took place, it was Cirie Fields who was sacrificed. Amanda Kimmel has again landed a spot on the Final 2, along with Parvati.

These two girls did pretty well. Parvati came in the game, not with her flirty strategy, unlike her first try on the game. She outsmarted and won the title with a definite strategy in the game! Woo. I really like her now.

I’d have to watch the rest of the Finale to comment more on this. Haha.

EDIT: This is, by far, the best season I have ever seen. That’s why I have to rewatch it!

Josef Out of the House; Andi Joins Shy

Recent happenings in the big yellow house are interesting. Let’s start to list some stuffs that happened last week which spiced up this boring season.

THE FEUD

The girls’ feud has heightened Rona’s support, after defending Shy upon Priscilla, Beauty and Nicole’s attempt to set the girl aside. When Shy got close to Beauty, the latter realized it would be nice if they’d give her a chance, but once again, Priscilla’s selfish nature comes in again and bitched her way to Shy again, this time, she’s giving Beauty a hard time.

The three girls, namely, Priscilla, Beauty and Nicole have been automatically nominated this week for mouthing of words and whispering.

THE EVICTION

Last Saturday, we have seen Josef Elizalde leave the house in his sixth straight week in the nomination block. Well, it favored me, and the Filipinos. That relationship sucked. How low, for Nicole to be in-like with this kind of guy. Now that Josef’s out, Nicole’s real colors might shine. I do think she has a better side, we haven’t seen yet. And its because of the slightly immoral relationship brewing between them.

I was so glad when Rona received the highest number of votes. She totally deserved it. She has gathered a lot greater support now. I hope it’ll carry through.

Rona got 42.3% of the votes. Nicole got 30.6% and Josef got 26.7%.

The reason for Josef’s boot must be because of potential Nicosef split votes for their idols. Nicosefs didn’t expect this as they said in PEx, “they’d be going at the eviction night to welcome Rona in the outside world.”

THE NOMINEES

Its a pretty interesting week ahead of us. Three nominees. One of the girls, Priscilla, Beauty and Nicole, will go home. Well, it’s obvious already. Priscilla’s time is up. The girl’s attitude came out this week, and lead to her departure.

Buh-bye Priscilla. Looks like Lady Luck’s not with you, on this one.

ANDI JOINS SHY

Andi Eigenmann, daughter of Jaclyn Jose and Mark Gil, enters the house as the new Houseplayer ng Bayan who would help Shy (Farina Runkle) with her tasks. Each task they successfully carry through the game, they will win 10,000 bucks.

Survivor Philippines

Weeks ago, I have seen this advertisement about GMA 7 having the Survivor franchise. At first, of course, I was surprised and then I got so excited. I am a Reality TV enthusiast; I have watched Survivor season per season. I have aspired to be one of its castaways.

Well, I am not ready yet, to audition for this big show. I’d like to, but it could be kinda corny. I’d be observing the first season first then I’d decide if I’d give it a shot. Hey, this is a long-term dream.

So, once I heard about this, I knew Paolo Bediones will be chosen as the host. His credentials in hosting Adventure Challenge Shows is undeniable. I am assured that he’d be doing a great job hosting the show.

What interests me is if Pinoys can carry the politicking in Survivor. You know, you have to vote people out and you should know how to play numbers in the game. Strategy plays an important role to survive the competition. Sometimes, strength can be a disadvantage. And people can always change their minds; one time, they promised; but if they got a better offer, they’d flip. If these elements wouldn’t be brought about by the first season of the game, then, I can say that the local version has failed it. Pinoys are very giving and considerate people, that’s why it’d be hard for them to be biting each other’s asses. Most probably, a tribe would want to stick together and as much as they want, would not like to see any of their mates go.

So, where will be the location of this installment? I wish it won’t be in South East Asia, I am so tired of the Pacific already. If GMA 7 wants to give a ABS CBN a huge blow, Africa might do them good. This is GMA’s make or break, I think. They apalled people with Pinoy Idol and if they f*ck this up, people would be really mad at them.

As they say, Survivor set the Reality TV standards. Then, they should be able to adhere and conform with the greatness of the show.

Survivor History: An All-Female Final 4!

I have recently been addicted to local shows that I have forgotten my ultimate favorite, that is, Survivor. I haven’t checked about what’s going on with the show recently. To much of my surprise, we’re down to Final 4.

As the Final 5 went to Tribal Council, Erik Reichenback, the survivor they chose over Ami Cusack, got booted off in this week’s show. Too bad for me, I didn’t see the crazy goings-on with the series as Ozzy and James have already been booted from the game. Those two were the ones I am hoping would bring spice in this season’s game and because of my summer classes, I didn’t see them play.

Now, we’re down to the Final 4 girls, three of which are All-Stars, namely Cirie Fields, Parvati Shallow and Amanda Kimmel. I must say Amanda has been one heck of a competitor in this game. She managed to come in Final 4 twice. Last season, she’s Todd Zerhog’s runner-up along with Courtney Yates.

As of now, I am rooting for Parvati to win the game. Natalie, the lone Fan amongst the remaining castaways, is pretty much in danger right now. They should not let her stay through the Final 3, if they want a chance to the million dollar prize.

Here’s my guess on what’s gonna happen in the Finale:

If the All Stars got brains, they’d boot Natalie.
Winner will be Parvati, second will be Cirie and then Amanda will be third.

But if Natalie manages to go through the Final 3, she’ll probably win.
Well, there’s only one way to find out. Watch the Finale on Monday, 3:15 PM at Crime and Suspense RPN 9 :)

Site Advisory: One Blog. More Links.

Hello people! I have been very active in the bloggosphere recently. I have posted around eight entries in the past two days, changed my layout, update my blogroll and been commenting on some of the blog sites I visit.

I introduce the new Inghinyero. For the past couple of months, you were with the Inggitero and the Adventurous Inghinyero. Now, I present to you: Mister Engineer: Ang Misteryosong Inhinyero. Mister Engineer will also be using English in 95% of his posts so as to improve his skills in writing.

Along with the brand new Inghinyero are two new links. Since as you know, I am a TV addict and I fancy Reality Shows much, I’ll be hosting Reality Overload. And as your engineer wants to improve his skills in writing, arts and anything that he’s interested to, I’ll be putting my works on The Engineer’s Works.

This is to segregate things around my blog a bit more. So if you’re just indulged in entertainment, then you could go to those links. And if you want to know me more and know my other side and everything about me, you can go here at my home site.
