DISCLAIMER: I’ve been waiting days to post this entry. I’ve been thinking if it’s worth a post, or if it’s worth reading, or I’d follow my heart and express what’s really happening quite lately. And sorry if the story’s full of crap ‘cause I’m kinda weak with this thing. Yea, so here’s my story.
I met someone through the Internet a year ago. Eventually, we exchanged YM! ID’s and got into conversations every once in a while. I didn’t expect that Kara (this is not the person’s real name) and I would get to know each other more, and so we exchanged digits. Then came a message from Kara, “Hey. You have a partner?”
Innocent as I was, I told her “No.” And she asked me if I can be her boyfriend. Come on, it was summer. It’s a first (I mean to be approached with such question) and I don’t know what to do. And since I was bored, I answered. “Hell, yea. Sure.” Mind you, she’s pretty, smart and sweet. And she’s pretty articulate when she writes on the Internet.
Don’t get me wrong! I’m not really into these kind of relationships, but it was good to know that someone sees me as a boyfriend potential. So, we texted and chatted and texted even at the wee hours of the evening. I thought it wasn’t serious for both of us, but I also thought she liked me and I do, too. So, we’re kinda MU, but we’re together, technically. Not until a month after, when Kara told me that she’s gonna be together with a guy, we’ll name Kiko. I’m quite shocked, but I accepted her request for us to be friends still even if that’s what happened. But that’s not the end of the story…
A month passed, Kara told me she broke up with her boyfriend. She’s suicidal that time. I won’t be specific na lang. I thought, “Okay, she’s free. Might as well grab the chance.” But it was too late, she’s been in one relationship after another. I can’t blame her really.
I let the feelings fly. Since I was thinking, we’re through. We’re over. But one time, when I watched an Engineering affair, she went there too. She’s with her bestfriend. I was texting her the whole time and I won’t wanna show up, because I know she’ll be quite shocked with how I look. We’ve seen each other in pictures on the net, but not personally. When the event was about to end, I went to see her, just to say hi. So, I stood at the back and she was about to leave until I tapped her back and said, “Oy.” And she said, “Oy. Yea, sige ah.!” *she stared at me from head to toe, kinda like evaluating how I look*
Then, I still texted her for days, up to the moment that I asked her to visit me in UP again this upcoming April. She told me she’ll be available upon enrollment.
Then, I felt something. Why do I have such feelings for Kara? Why did I worry so much, of all people, why would I think I’d be the one her sorority sister would tell this news to, eh may parents naman siya. I was analyzing everything, until I came up with a conclusion, I was falling for her. Yes, I know! It’s too late but she’s been giving me a lot of hopes since we’re on. I was still hoping that we’ll still have a chance since all of her relationships as of the time, are all short-term and I’m the type who aims for a long-term one.
So I expected. A LOT. And let myself fall for her, once again. She’s been so kind and sweet the whole time. She’s growing into someone I’m seeing as a real long-term partner. Until one event where we meet again, I was texting her, hoping that we could talk or something. The signal in the area was freaking annoying. I can’t send her some of the messages. I was with someone and I would be very obvious if I’d go take the seat beside her. So I pleased my eyes, staring at her moment by moment. She’s gorgeous, and hindi sya nakakasawang tignan.
We had the chance to talk for a bit, when I was about to go to the comfort room and when I was about to leave. She even asked me that time if I was leaving, I told her. “Uhm, yea, my dorm’s just a few blocks away.” I saw her friend telling her to go with them and mingle with some other Internet enthusiasts so I told her I’ll text her.
So, we texted a lot that day. I’m all mesmerized with her witty comments and beautiful smiles ( I always look at her Friendster profile which has lots of pictures of her). I fell in love with Kara, even if I know she’s currently in a relationship.
–
Last Friday, I told her I’m at a bar. She’s been teasing me that she has a thing for this guy who studies at a famous university. She asked me what I’m doing at the bar and whom am I with. And I told her that I’m with Mia and we’re watching Bodie Cruz and Ronnie Liang’s concert at Metro. It’s actually quite freaky how she asked where I am and who I am with, it gave me kilig factor. And all I can say is that I’m jealous of the guy that she’s with because she’s so into him. As a reply, I told her that I, too has someone by the name Mia, but it was all hoax. I just told her that too ease the jealousy I was feeling towards the guy she’s talking about.
But two nights before, I told her I still love her. I told her that I wanna be with her still. I told her that she’s the best thing that happened to me, and the most beautiful lady I have ever seen in my life. She told me to make my relationship with Mia work. There. I know, I’m facing rejection.
I was angry at myself for falling in love with her. At the same time, I was crying my heart out, while I was texting her. “Yun na nga eh. Walang Mia, Kara.” And she asked me why I lied about it. I then confessed that I was too jealous with her and the one she’s with, that’s why I made up stories. She then told me it was okay.
All this time, pinaasa niya ako sa wala, and she knows that. That’s why she apologized dahil naging bad daw sya all this time to me. And reading between the lines, I knew she and I, we’ll never be together. I asked her what made her dislike me, and she said: “I have to be honest with you. Being super stubborn. Waah. And, looks din. Ayun.”
I knew it. It felt like it was all a dream, that someone like her, would like me, someone who’d be with her at all times. I didn’t know that she’s that type that she’ll prefer looks over other things. It was hard to accept but I still sent her some messages which really came from my heart. I told her that I loved her because she is Kara and not because she’s pretty or what. I just hope that she loved me for what I am too.
My feelings were hurt, yes. But I am not willing to gamble the friendship, so I asked her if we could be friends. And she said,”Yes”. After all, it was the most that she can do to help me repair my broken heart. I just hope that she has given more time into knowing me well than eying some other hotties.
The best of the story’s yet to come, I can’t even imagine how she downplayed “us” being us to “MU” and to “stuff”. It felt like she denied that I was her boyfriend. Ang loser ko naman.
But then again, it’s too late to apologize. I’ll accept it but I’ll never forget how everything fell apart. I was too in love with Kara. Too in-love that I’ll give up everything just to be with her. You’re my first and it was so hard to let it go.
PS: This story is a lot more complicated than you think. The persons involved in the story are given the pseudonyms since there’s a 90% chance that they’ll be reading this. To those involved, I’m sorry, I’m still in chaos after all that happened. Its what you feel when you’re fairy tale ends miserably. After all this, my mouth is shut about me and Kara. I hope so.
Lastly, shet dalawa na ang theme song ko for you. You’ll Always Be My Baby at Apologize. I can’t believe it. David Cook at David Archuleta ito.

On V-League
I’m not really much into volleyball, or any sports per se. But I always find watching these games so amusing, whether it be, basketball, volleyball or any other sport. Maybe that’s why I was honed to become the newspaper Sports Editor way back in high school, I might not be good at it, but I can write about it really well.
I passed by some volleyball action last Sunday. Little did I know it was Shakey’s V-League, it was a match between San Sebastian College and Ateneo de Manila University. I noticed how pretty and hot Kara Acevedo is. ;] Oh yes, I’m in love. I kinda googled about the Ateneo team and woah, they’re a bunch of hot girls. They don’t only rock the volleyball court, but they certainly rocked my heart I am now planning to take with me some of my highschool friends and probably some dormmates to watch the Finals-Game 2 on May 30 and if Ateneo gets lucky, Finals-Game 3 on June 1.
Off to UP
It’s no surprise that my vacation’s gonna end soon. And by the thirtieth of May, I’d probably go back to Manila for a DOST scholars conference to be held in UP Diliman. Our organization organized the Scholars Day Out 2008 at Engineering Theater, Melchor Hall.
I’d probably won’t return to Olongapo until after a month. On June 2, I will be checking in at the dormitory since the enrollment will start that day. However, I have to enlist three more subjects. Thank God, I got enlisted in another subject. It’s ArtStud 1 under professor Sahili. Anyone, should I cancel the slot? If I get nice feedbacks about the course, I’d probably not take ES 13 for now and will enlist ME 63, ES 1 and ES 12 at the real-time enlistment period.Wish me luck.
The Date Earlier, I, along with Eden, Ae, Julie, Chie, Aleth, Ian, Karen, David, Carol, Paige and Trish went out for a lunch date. The original plan was to meet up at the mall and wait for the Feety people to arrive, then we ate lunch then au voir! But being the typical us, we stayed two hours at Jollibee SBMA, had small chitchats and reminisced some significant things about our highschool life. We then got tired sitting, so we found ourselves camwhoring inside the premises of the restaurant. When we noticed that the people looking at us as if we’re doing something scandalous, we decided to move out and took pictures with Jollibee himself. Ooh. The inner childness in me. Soon after, we saw ourselves in a vacant lot at the back of Remy Field, taking, once again, pictures. Yes, pictures galore. And when we had enough of the fame and shame as we got noticed by a lot of people passing by the street, we then went to Aleth’s place to watch some DVD’s, which was eventually turned to Reminiscing the Days v. 2.0 and What’s the Latest Buzz About You (Hot Seat Edition). At one point, we thought of predicting who’ll be impregnated first in our class, and who will be the last person to graduate his or her course fully. And after we have completely forgotten that we were there to watch the DVD, the time is up and we ate hotcakes with honey and butter. We have to go home.
Of course, I went home with a smile. Again, seeing these people makes me wonder how much I have grown into them, trusting them and living with them— na nakuha ko pa ding magsaya even if I really had a bad night. Yes guys, you are life savers!
Eventually, its when the dark ended, I saw the light. That, in every downfall, that you must face; there are friends who’ll cheer you up and help you sustain whatever emotional catastrophe you’re feeling inside. And yes, its another love-related problem.
The End
As the night breaks away with silence. I was crying with my eyes stuck on my phone, drooling, waiting for a message. Of non-sense and unresolved stuffs as you say. I am so sorry that I felt so sorry for myself. But you said it was the end, and I’ve been hurt so much so it’s time to unlove you. Though it hurts so much.
I really would have wished you have given us a chance. We’re friends.

PINOY BIG BROTHER
Last Saturday, Rona Libby, the 17-year old prisoner’s daughter was voted off by the people in the closest vis-à-vis match to ever hit Pinoy Big Brother. Libby got a total of 43% while her co-nominee Robi, the True Blue Atenista, got 57% of the total votes.
Though I felt devastated upon Rona’s exit, I was kinda relieved to see Robi staying in the big yellow house. With a bunch of boring housemates, I don’t expect a really grand Finale. I don’t even see any of them other than Alex, Beauty or Robi getting the big win.
Anyhoo, my Final 4 includes Alex, Beauty, Robi and Valerie. Nan, Ejay and Nikki are too boring to snatch a spot on the Final 4. But knowing Pinoy Big Brother, one or two of these three dull creatures would be in the Final 4.
PINOY IDOL
And the first elimination paved way for Dio Paolo’s and Elliot Andal’s dreams to end. As for the female finalists, it was a shocker to see two of the potentials to get the boot. Drizzle Muniz, the music teacher and the big-haired=big voice=big personality Bev Ejercito were sent home.
As of now, I do think that Dio and Elliot deserved to go. It would be better if they bring Rye Estrada with them already. As for the girls, I don’t think Bev should have been eliminated. For Drizzle, I knew her name would do her no good, plus, she had a forgettable performance last night. For me though, Carol and Gretchen should have been sent home.
TV ADDICT
If you have noticed, I have been quite fond of posting about reality TV shows the past couple of weeks. I felt so worried that much of my readers won’t get what I’m talking about. Though there’s a huge rise in the comments turnout. I’d probably be back blogging about me again. It’s just that I am a reality TV show addict and these shows pre-occupied me for the past weeks. Now that Parvati has won Survivor and Cook has won AI, and we’re down to Robi, Alex and other six unknowns in PBB- I can do random updates about me again. I really hope I won’t get caught up by the entertainment vibe again. Lol. I was actually surprised when I see people posting here in my site that I switched from having a personal to entertainment blog. I really am sorry for that. I just got too hooked with the shows. You know its summer, and it bores me to death. And I don’t have anything else to do other than surfing than net, but watching TV. So please do forgive me.
Now, I assure you, we’re back to regular programming, este, I’m back to business!

Well, as expected, the program sucked. I recognized that they used the sucky Arial font for the labeling in the bottom of the screen, and it annoys me. Not to mention, the voting guidelines were too small, its as if its intended for the ants to read. You see, it affects the voting population. Then, again, they used names instead of numbers. I wish Raymond would be keen on his grammar and the keywords for Idol contestants. He said “IDOL SUE ELLEN” of what should be “IDOL SUE” only. And the judges? They proved to be worthless again. Interestingly, I liked how Wyngard Tracy evaluates the performances. But all of them are overacting and trying hard.
One thing good tonight is that the female finalists are better than the male ones. These girls are leveled of for the competition. With two co-Iskolar ng Bayan at the females fight, I forced myself to watch another sucky episode.
Here are my opinions for the Top 12 Female finalists:
REGENE ONG. Another powerhouse belter, only with a twist, she’s a rocker. But anyway, her style and voice quality might make her the next Idol.
Idol Rating: 7. In this unforgiving world, heavy-weights are pretty much ignored. Marcelo (of Philippine Idol) proved that she doesn’t have to be beautiful and slim to win, but it takes a phenomenal performance for her to win this game.
DRIZZLE MUNIZ. I expected a lot from her since she was a music teacher. She’s one of the goodies at the preliminaries, but when she stepped on the stage earlier, I was kinda disappointed since she didn’t quite make it. She sang My Immortal by Evanescence.
Idol Rating: 6. She reminds me of Apple Chiu. Due to her, wanting to have a unique style, her gamble on the arrangement fell of. I am sure she can pull a good one if she doesn’t overanalyze.
SUE ELLEN. Sue Ellen sang Love Thing and I was a bit disappointed; she’s someone who can level off with Yeng Constantino, but her song choice didn’t give her the shiner she need to win the hearts of the people. Sue lacks stage presence; she’s cute and she has a really unique voice.
Idol Rating: 7. She’s an Idol material. One of the better performances of the group. She reminds me of Juris (MYMP).
JENI RAWOLLE. Jeni surprised me tonight. I didn’t like her in the preliminaries since I thought she’d be another Jelli Mateo. But tonight, she’s stunning, and she did fairly well with her song For Once In My Life. It might not be excellent but is surely worth listening to.
Idol Rating: 7. The girl has the face and a unique style which can keep her through.
VREN VILLAFLOR. She sang Fame. She’s a bit exaggerated with her performance. Though she had proven she has stage presence and she can belt, I do think it was a wrong song choice for her. She should consider having dance lessons too. She sucked with her Bakla poses.
Idol Rating: 7. Another one who can fight well but we’ll have to make her personality bloat. Uninteresting. Mediocre looks, reminds me of Francine Prieto.
BEV EJERCITO. She’s an Idol material too. For me, her courage to bring a new rendition to Crazy is a good move, but she failed because it didn’t showcase the versatility of her voice. She’s good in belting and her kulots, plus with that kind of style. Big hair=big personality type of chick, she’ll surely be remembered.
Idol Rating: 8. One of the top contenders of the show. Voice quality plus packaging, she’s one of the better ones.
CAROL LEUS. Carol kind of disappointed me tonight. She has that shining voice and unique tone in her, but she didn’t maximize her talent with the song she chose. She reminded me of Ira Marasigan (Philippine Idol, the one who should’ve made it through the Top 12). She sang I Believe in You and Me.
Idol Rating: 6. Doesn’t shine. Good voice. So-so appeal to audience.
MERYL DAVID. Meryl might have a few flats but she sings so well. She reminds me of Melinda Doolittle of AI 2007. She’s got the talent and the voice, but the charms, she’s quite short there.
Idol Rating: 8. One of the top contenders, vocal and performance-wise.
GRETCHEN ESPINA. OMFG! I didn’t watch Idol just for a failure. Gretchen tried out for Philippine Idol last year and didn’t make it through. She’s a member of the UP Singing Ambassadors. My take on her, she can sing but she’s not an Idol material.
Idol Rating: 5. She bored me. She has the looks, and quite good quality of voice but man, she had the worst performance of the evening.
PENELOPE. This girl rocked tonight’s competition. I want her through to Final 12 already. The voice. Oh, the chills I had when she sang! She’s the first contestant who I think could level off with an American Idol performance. By the way, she sang Natasha Bedingfields’ Wild Horses.
Idol Rating: 8. She just needs to improve on accuracy on singing and one piece of advice, be a little charming. Connect to the audience well.
MAE FLORES. When I saw her belt her way through I Will Survive, with Regene Ong on the Preliminaries, I was already a fan. Although she reminds me a bit of Wendy Valdez (Pinoy Dream Academy), she’s just freaking good!
Idol Rating: 8. Mae has the charms, the looks, the talent. She’s pretty. I can see Yeng’s rival in the Punk and Pop Princess tilt na. I just prefer Angeli than Mae. Her real name is ANGELIMAE FLORES.
JAYANN BAUTISTA. The second UP finalist was Jayann Bautista. She sang Secret. Though she didn’t move around the stage, I really liked her performance. It was uber okay. She smiles and melts me. She’s one of my bets too.
Idol Rating: 8. She’s beautiful and she had a very good performance.
Who’s going home? I’d like Gretchen to leave the competition but, she’s a Bisaya and her father’s a congressman; I bet they’ll spend lots of money voting for her. I think Vren, Carol, Meryl and Drizzle are in danger tonight. Carol, for being so dull. Vren and Drizzle, for their names. Meryl, for her face not registering too well in the camera. So who’s going home? I’d say DRIZZLE and VREN. Too bad, I want to see them still for the next round. I want Gretchen out.

Crappy and boring. That sums up the first staging of Pinoy Idol performance night. With mediocre performers plus unworthy commentators, not to mention annoying host, Pinoy Idol can never be in comparison with American Idol, even cannot measure up to Philippine Idol’s classy and world class staging of the show.
The Setting and The Pace
Its quite annoying that the show really struggles on timing. The performances felt like some were given longer ones and some, shorter ones. The place was too crowded. The stage is like a small circle of nothingness in a very crowded place. The Red Room was turned into the Blue Room, when nothing else happens but for the performers to rest. The guys looked like promdi viranda boys while someone’s performing. It felt so unworthy to watch. I was even paying more attention to Pokwang’s Maalaala Mo Kaya episode than this. Its such a pain to watch this trying hard show.
The Judges and the Host
Disappointing. What are they thinking? Let me rephrase that. Are they even thinking? Their comments are more of encouragement that evaluations or opinions about the performance. Crap. Raymond was so off. I can’t stand him hosting. Can somebody please call Drew Arellano now?
On Voting
What the hell is Pinoy Idol thinking using names instead of numbers as voting keys! And they even limited 200 votes per sim. That’s sucky.
The Contestants
Only a handful of the guys gave me the, he’s an Idol material remark. Either they have mediocre voice and good looks, or they pretty just plainly suck. I don’t know with the names but they gave them pretty forgettable ones. Add to that, they lack intensity, charisma and that Idol factor. Here’s what I think about the Top 12 Male finalists.
DISCLAIMER: I might be too harsh with my comments, so yea, you’re already warned.
ROBBY NAVARRO. He sang Maxwell’s Whenever,Wherever, Whatever. He sounded good. Not really good. His performance had no intensity or power. Though he has good voice quality, with that performance, I’m not assured if he’s gonna be sold out to the Pinoy viewers. I felt like he was too controlling that in a way might have cost him the competition. He has a pretty good ending though. Given that he has mediocre looks, I don’t think he’d be able to compete against other finalists.
Idol Rating: 5. I didn’t enjoy the performance but he has the makings.
JJ JR. He sang The Real Thing’s You To Me Are Everything. For me, the guy sounded really good. He failed miserably on the song choice. It was too unfamiliar, plus it was too corny. He danced awkwardly. But he had a good performance. Just not quite enough. He’s one of the better performers minus his slip-off at the end part with the lyrics.
Idol Rating: 7. He has the looks that people might vote for him. He has the voice. He just needs to focus and connect to the audience well.
ELLIOT ANDAL. He belts really good. Too bad that’s the only compliment I can give. He’s out of tune for most of the parts and his low voice? Not too entertaining to listen to. He doesn’t connect. As for his song choice, Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga by Basil Valdez, it was just bad that he didn’t make it his own.
Idol Rating: 4. He has mediocre looks. Good voice quality, just that he doesn’t know how to use it properly.
RAM CHAVES. Ram rocked. He sang Foo Fighters’ My Hero. He woke me up after a series of boring performances. He’s on the top of the pack. Well, the rockers did pretty well tonight. But of all the rockers, I think he’s the one who can carry other types of songs.
Idol Rating: 8. He has great vocals, pretty awesome stage presence. He has to work on appeal and the attitude though.
WALTON ZERRUDO. He sang She’s Out of My Life by Josh Groban. He gave an okay performance. I don’t think that his image as an RnB singer was magnified and justified with his song choice. Though he made it his own, he kinda failed because he had no power in his singing. Climax is not too climactic. One notable note off.
Idol Rating: 7. Great vocal quality. Sense of style, kinda off. Has to be keen on his high notes and song choices. Too ma-drama.
DIO PAOLO. Mushy disclaimer. Annoying. He sang a song which is sooo familiar, that would give people negative reactions given he murdered his rendition. He has the looks, mediocre voice. He tried so hard with the song that he oversang it. His belts aren’t effective too. The bridge part, he sucked. Wrong song choice.
Idol Rating: 4. Has the looks, tends to be so dramatic.
RYE ESTRADA. His vocals is good. He has some speech problems though. Dinig na dinig ang kanyang punto. He looks so gay, and it feels like he’s hiding it. Not that there’s anything wrong ah. I think that the arrangement is too high for his low-toned voice. That’s why it didn’t connect that well. His mouth is annoying.
Idol Rating: 5. I don’t know but I got irritated.
SHERWIN MARQUEZ. He sang “How Do You Heal A Broken Heart?”He’s the one to beat. He has the looks and the talent. His singing was excellent. He’s the only non-rocker to invade the night. He has the power and the intensity but he has to learn a lot pa.
Idol Rating: 8. He has the looks and the talent.
TOFFER REI. He’s one of the top performers of the round. He sang Stigmatized. He succeeded on most of the parts, except his falsettos. He sucked at the falsetto parts. SUPER. But all in all. I enjoyed it. I want his hair cut off a little too bring the edginess in him. And I want him slightly fatter!
Idol Rating: 6. Rocker, lang.
KID CAMAYA. This kid is forgettable. He sang, A Song For You. He has a really nice voice. He’s got the looks to. One of the potentials in this batch.
Idol Rating: 6. Notably forgettable. Good voice.
DARYL CELIS. The guy will be saved because of his charms, appeals and his cuteness. Haha. Isa lang yun diba? He sings soo good. He’s like Ronnie Liang. I hope he improves, he’s Idol material. He Sang Still With You.
Idol Rating: 6. Definitely Idol material, just work on his notes and his style in singing.
WARREN ANTIG. It was a good ending for a sucky night. The show redeemed its greatness when he sang. He sang Ulitin by POT. Actually, I don’t know if he can carry other types of songs. But he rocked so well on his element.
Idol Rating: 8. He has the attitude, the voice. He also has issues.
Who’s going home? I have to say ELLIOT and ROBBY could be in big trouble. Both sang at the first part of the night, and might get low votes since they can easily be forgotten.

And with 56% of the votes, by far the largest voting results, with 97 million votes counted, 12 million votes ahead of Archuleta, David Cook is your new American Idol
The highlight of the evening: Cowell apologized for his uncalled for comments last night. He said that when he returned from home, he felt he has to apologize for being too harsh on the winning Idol. Looks like reverse psychology worked. And he laughed and smiled and smirked the whole night when Cook won.
I am kinda sad kasi wala na ako mapapanood na matino. Congratulations to David Cook, the new American Idol! And to David Archuleta, for gasping and gaining the second place spot. Grabe, after Cook was announced the winner, parang wala nang pumansin sa kanya. HAHA.

The judges were extremely horrible listeners. LOL. I believe that DA stepped up tonight, but not much that DC would be scared. We saw how emotional Cook was, today. I really hope he wins.
We have eight more hours to kill until the grand Finale. From last night’s show, DC’s song choices were kinda off, I know that. His last song was heartfelt and I had goosebumps especially on the end part.
The only song I remembered from DA is “Imagine”, I give credit for he sang it well. DC’s Dream Big, for me, was a hit. Though its not the conventional winning moment-winning song type of performance, it was too cool.
Earlier, I checked DialIdol.com, and they predicted Cook will win. Everyone’s gone crazy as to who will get the crown.
Come to think of it, the two gave their best. America will have to decide who should grab the title. I am still crossing my fingers with Cook.

I have finally completed my two years, so far, fairly well. This summer, I took Physics 73 Lecture and Laboratory. To cease the boredom with these subjects, I took Walking for Fatness Fitness. The Physics course I took this Summer officially ended my Sophomore year in college. Good! Haha. I passed both subjects.
Physics 73 The lecture was fun and the professor’s hip and comprehendible. I never knew Physics would be this fun. Though the subject itself tackles really difficult topics, the professor had given so much that it felt easier than it should be.
Well, even if I didn’t really review a lot for the three exams, I managed to get, well fairly good scores, except for a failure in the 2nd Exam. It felt hell, I was sooo sick that time. Woo alibis. But I was really sick that time. But it was good to know that I still passed the subject. Not that high though,2.75, good enough.
The laboratory ended the second week. Whew. So much for those daily laboratory reports! But that Finals exam was easy! I aced it. DISCLAIMER: The day before the exam, I was busy partying and sleepover-ing at my high school friend’s house, so yea, you can imagine how hard it was to study with all the temptations and Kokology I have to conquer J Haha. Even if we slept 3 AM and woke up 6 AM to go back to UP, I managed to finish the exam in less than an hour. And my grade? I didn’t expect it to be this high, I thought it’s be 1.75. I got a 1.25.
Walking for Fat-ness
I always joke about this subject as Walking for Fatness. I have actually finished all my PE courses, namely: Scrabble, Philippine Folk Dance, PE 1-Streetdance and Duckpin Bowling, but I took this subject this summer, hoping I could work on with the Fatness and turn it into Fitness. Hmm, sure I didn’t get the muscles nor the “slim” ness I want, but I kinda like my posture right now, I don’t slouch much now. I do constant walking already. Yea! I got kind of concerned with what I eat. A lot of things changed because of this subject, hoping that maybe if I carry this through, I’d get slimmer and healthier. Another thing, medyo hindi na ako madali mapagod. I hope I get a passing score on this one. Well, I’ve gotten more than passing score by learning discipline in the course.
What Lies Ahead
We are on our enlistment process right now. I plan to take up ES 1, ES 12, ES 13, ES 21, ES 26, ME 63 and Anthro 10 this coming semester. I am not sure yet with ES 13, but I’d have to take 20 units next semester to catch up with my fellow ME friends I would substitute ES 13 with a GE though, if I don’t get Sir Ace
So, the results of the CRS gave me 12 units. I’m fine with me getting ES 26, ES 21 and Anthro 10; only that, I got Mr. Quiros for ME 63, I’d try to cancel this schedule and probably pre-rog on Ms. Balbarona’s class. I sure hope I enlist more subjects this second run.
That Engineering Feeling
Makes me think, I’ve spent two years in Engineering already. Not that bad. Though I’ve been experiencing quite a few 4’s and a 5, I won’t give up. It’s a dream and now that I’m trying to budge myself to make it a reality, I won’t easily surrender.
I’ve finished my Math and Physics series already. Majors and Engineering Science series would be hell, I know! But no one can stop me to be what I want to be.

Priscilla Navidad, the 18 year-old hearing impaired Atenista, was sent home after a landslide results last Saturday. Navidad has gotten roughly 11% of the total votes. Beauty and Nicole, who were also nominated this round, garnered 41% and 46% respectively.
Guardians Big Night
Its no surprise that the sympathy card has yet again been played. Erning Falcon, Ejay’s father, got a landslide 66% of the total votes, to be laud as the 1st Guardian Big Winner. Alex’s mother, Minda, who I would’ve wanted to win, got only 17%. The 3rd Big Placer is Nicole’s mother, Sandy, whom I think deserved to stay and make it to the Final 2, for her courage to straighten up her daughter. My Love won the 4th Big Placer award with, 5%.
Nomination
This week, we have seen the housemates have their “face to face” nomination only that this time they were blindfolded and were commanded to hang the 2 point and 1 point medallions to the housemate they nominated prior to the face to face nomination.
In the end, it’s a bittersweet result as Rona Libby, the prisoner’s daughter, who has managed to escape eviction, and swept Josef Elizalde out of the house, was set off to face another Atenista, Robi Domingo.
Comment: As I see it, Rona’s time is up. She got saved last time because Robilievers voting for her to stay. I actually like both Rona and Robi, but if I were to choose who I’d want to stay, it’s going to be Robi. Although Rona’s more deserving than any of the remaining houseguests [Valerie, Ejay, Nan, Nikki], who doesn’t do anything in the house, but to make pacute lang, she’ll be sent home this week because Robi, doesn’t only have a huge fan base, he also has a huge support from Atenistas and his family, who would really be voting for him until the end. This guy is going to be in the Big Four. I am predicting he’d either place second, or emerge as the Big Winner once he stayed until the Finals.
I sooo hope that either Nan or Nicole quits or gets forcibly evicted.

I don’t know if this is free or not, but its worth the try. You can use SKYPE for voting in American Idol! :] Woo. A friend has confirmed me about this information. So, yep, we can now help David Cook win.
First, you must download the Skype Application from http://skype.com. After that, get a username and your good to go.
Place calls to the 1-866 number there, then click the “Call Phone” or the “Dial” button, thn enter the 1-866 number. After that, hit the green button to place the call.
Simple, right? Help us! Vote David Cook to win American Idol 2008!
– PS: I haven’t supported an Idol finalist this much, even Jasmine Trias nor Ramiele Malubay didn’t get any of this treatment. Cook’s just the best this season. He deserves to win this. Please do vote for him at the Finale on May 21. :]

And as expected, we say goodbye to Syesha Mercado, the late-bloomer fiva. She was kicked off the game earlier as we welcome our new Final 2! This Idol season’s certainly one of the best: vocal-wise, the contestants were pretty much of level with each other; talent-wise, each has their own style and personality-wise, okay, never mind.
So, we’ll be seeing a David-David Finale, with a very tight competition ahead of us. Both Cook and Archuleta were considered the frontrunners the past few rounds. Well, Archuleta’s been hyped, in fact overhyped, that he might really be the next American Idol.
So, Cook fans out there. Let’s not forget that the cherub-faced Archuleta has a really huge fanbase, and well-established. With the youth vote at Archuleta’s back, I can’t see anything that can stop him from winning. Unless, Cook tops his “Always Be My Baby” performance and completely sweep away Archulater’s Finale performances.
This has been a really good ride. Of all Idol seasons, this is my most favorite. Who’s gonna win? We all know its going to be David. I just hope its Cook.
And with that, Finale on May 21 and 22! Let”s cross our fingers for our favorites, whoever you’d wanna win.

This is by far the best pic I can give you of David Cook. HAHA.
Syesha appears as a diva of the night with her glittering gown. Cook shows up classy and nice. Archuleta looked like ah, nothing. PEOPLE, listen to Simon Cowell this round and vote for Cook! swoon
Let us start with the judges’ pick for our Top 3:
DAVID ARCHULETA. And So It Goes. Billy Joel
Started boring. He gasps a lot when he sings these type of songs. Good voice, just feels sleepy when he sings. As I listen this in Youtube, I want to switch to Syesha’s or Cook’s performances na. Haha. I’m really not into Archuleta’s singing. Before I knew it, it ended na. Not really nice. Something I wouldn’t want to listen to.
SYESHA MERCADO. If I Ain’t Got You. Alicia Keys
Yes, it was smooth. Kinda boring at first. She could have shown a lot with the song but she didn’t maximize her voice through it. She still lacks connection with the audience that her belts didn’t even manage to give the audience the groove. She had a flawless ending to the song. It kinda souded like Alicia. She’s so gorgeous!
DAVID COOK. First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Roberta Flack.
The choice of song was hilarious. But he did a splendid job over a boring song. It showed how flexible he was. His belt through the end was simply breath-taking. This guy is fit for the title. Whatever song given to him, he can surely make it a hit. Simon, giving him this song, just challenged him to show that David Cook should be the next American Idol. And Round 1 goes to Cook and Cowell.
We’re done with the JUDGES’ Choice. We’ll see who rocks the second round, CONTESTANT’S CHOICE.
DAVID ARCHULETA. With You. Chris Brown
It sounds so nasal. It felt so forced. It felt liked he missed some lines. He made it so boyband-ish. Eeek. This is so not Archuleta, unlike what Paula said. He’s clearly not in his element. I sooo not want a David-David Final 2. And yes, it’s like a Chihuahua trying to be a tiger.
SYESHA MERCADO. Fever.
She’s wise. She chose another broadway type of song, but I don’t think it’s wise after all. It didn’t bring out the best on her. It was okay, but it’s not enough for her to snatch some votes from Archuleta and Cook. Syesha’s not going to be the American Idol, nor will she be able to perform at the Final 2.
DAVID COOK. Dare You To Move. Switchfoot
I liked the changes he made on the chorus. It rocked everyone’s world when he shifted notes in the chorus. Other than some glitches on high notes and the performance being a little pitchy to some extent, it was soothing. It was an okay performance, which would take you by storm at parts.
We have the last round now, the PRODUCER’S Choice.
SYESHA MERCADO. Beat Me Up
It was cool, kinda preppy. It’s a Syesha song. It kinda looks like she has a chance to escape another elimination. This performance showed a lot of versatility. She looks like a star now. Unlike before, she looked so amateur-ish. She did way better than Archuleta though. The judges are telling her she’s not gonna make it on the Final 2. Let’s see tomorrow, who’ll get axed. I can feel Archuleta going home.
DAVID ARCHULETA. Longer. Dan Folgeberg
Boring again. It sounds unoriginal, it sounds like the previously recorded version. I still hear his gasping in this song. Boring. Steady. Worst performance of the evening. For me, it’s a little unclear. Everything. I can sleep now. What are the judges saying? Its not a lovely performance.
DAVID COOK. I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing. Aerosmith
It’s the potential song of the night. The only unforgettable song of the Final 3. It’s amazing, awesome and the switching’s good. It felt like he’s gonna win this and it’s his winning performance. It’s the best song of the night. Cook woke me up after Archuleta and Syesha’s boring performances.
Oh my gosh, I have the following ranking for the past three rounds: 1) David Cook; 2) Syesha Mercado; 3) Archuleta.
Who’s gonna be our Final 2? Yes, as you have predicted, its going to be the Davids. Syesha tried so hard but the judges banged her out this week.
Syesha and Cook should be the Final Two.

for you to appreciate those who have given you care and concern for the past years of your life?
It doesn’t have to be. As long as you exchange this, with love and care too. It’s enough. I posted this late, actually a day after the so-called “Mother’s Day” celebration. Intentionally, because no matter what day it is in a month or in my lifetime, I celebrate “Mother’s Day”. I celebrate it everyday, by being the son my mom wants me to be and by being the brother, helping his sister raising her kid.
The past year has been a little different for us. A lot of things changed; along with it, my sister gave birth to my first nephew, which we fondly called, Bebeng or Bruno, Lebron Rian Amos.
I know my sister’s doing a fine job with my nephew. She loves him so dearly and will not do anything to harm her child. I salute my sister for coping up with the situation well. I do believe that even if she has a long way to run, being a mother, she’ll do well. She can’t be wrong, she’s raised by my mom.
My mom, since then, has been shouldering all the responsibilities in our home. Aside from that, she’s also the one who makes sure, that me, my sister and my brother are fine, even if we’re away from her. Though, my father’s there to support her; he can’t really do a lot since he’s already 66 and he’s ill with a respiratory disease.
My mother always ails in pain. She’s also ill, with kidney stone though. But she still manages to carry it all out for the sake of our family. I might not be able to translate all in words. And I might not be able to thank her every moment and everything she sacrifices for us, but I want her to know, that I really appreciate her.
I know I’ve been quite a demon as a child, and as now, as an oldie. LOL. Forgive me mom, I know you know that I love you.
For that, “Happy Mother’s Day” na din.
