Miss World 2007 Tonight!

Friday, November 30th, 2007

This year’s Miss World would be a very shocking one if the top bets to win the crown won’t even make it to the Top 5.

Among the shortlisted bets were China PR, Lithuania, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica.

Here is my final take on this year’s pageant:

On The Bubble: India, Grenada, Greece, Italy, Japan

The Feud

Friday, November 30th, 2007

I freaking hate non-sensical people, especially those arrogant, all-knowing ones, who boasts themselves off, acting so intelligent yet, he doesn’t really know about anything and he’s even confused about himself too.

He’s a complete poser. He would imitate everything that he would think of as “cool”, when even if its not. He acts like he knows everything about this world, well I say, “You read the book and you memorized it. Plain. Not INTELLIGENT for me! You’re just diligent and even if you get higher grades than moi, that doesn’t make you better than me.”

Before, when he texts me, he’ll be texting me all zillion characters of the text, with pure Wronglish. That is, Wrong Grammar English. Not to mention, the Ghettolish. That is, Ghetto English, which I always hate reading. I mean, HELLO! I freaking know English, and I’m better at it than you do, so please stop sending me those. I can’t wait deleting those four flashes of insignificant blah-blahs of you.

It irritates me that this guy has the wrath to call me names, sends people controversies about me. I even caught him telling other people stuffs about me, whatta gossiper. Well, as we all know, gossips have its own dose of truths and… full of lies. This freaking guy doesn’t even know me that well. He just rely on his preliminary judgments and his preconceptions of me, which are totally wrong. You can say what you want, but it won’t change my perceptions of you, too. That you, are an A**HOLE.

Oh yeah, I have a really bad reputation. But you won’t really know who I am if you won’t try to do things with me. And a lot of people might attest to that. A lot of people I know have had bad first impressions of me, but when they get to know me really well, interestingly, some of them told me that I deserve better treatment from others. And its really great to hear them apologizing for accepting the fact that they’ve done me wrong, and that they now appreciate who I really am. That they just relied with other people’s misconceptions of me.

Now, back to you monster, do you really think that you’re better than me, just because you got higher grades? Or just because you have a circle of friends, who can’t tell you things like this, means that you’re better than me? Well, even they are sick of your freaking tantrums and OCness and KSPness and all the freaking things you’re doing.

Like for example, your hatred towards Science High School people. Like for example, getting into silent competitions with your classmate friends. Like for example, treating us like your followers, that you should reign as the king of your room. And I can adjust to some people at a certain extent but I can’t with you. You are nothing but a rat.

I don’t appreciate what you’ve done. I am done trying to be at peace with you. I am dying to know what makes you insecure with everything in you, the diligence TO BE intelligent (it doesn’t requisite you to be intelligent though!), the wealth (if that’s your edge) , the nice friends (which you are lucky to have, and of which you’re lucky you met them first) and the patience (that they have for you) and I’ll give you bonus points for your wit and some talents.

But still, you are freaking insensitive too. And I’m full of you, and if you’re asking me to have a reality check. Then you must have one, too.

Don’t tell me that I don’t accept any mistakes I have commited; because I know them and I am ready to apologize if I do commit a mistake. But now, in our situation. This is plain justice. You’ve had contributed a lot to my bad reputation, and you deserve some too. And I’m going t do that for you.

P.S. to READERS
And of course that would be my “BITCHY ME” talking. There is no way that I am like this in real life. Oh well, I’ll just be laughing at it na lang. It won’t do me good. But this post really tells a lot and I am telling you I a feeling so much better now. I am just so full of this guy. He’s not even worthy of my time so as of now I’d have o control myself. I respect him and that’s why as of now, we are not in good speaking terms and I’m not entering their room as soon as this feud lightens up.

Gaby & Gladys Enters the PBB House

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

After doubling the prizes and Angel coming in the house. Surprisingly, Gaby dela Merced returned back to the Yellow House after joining the conference in US, and after ex-housemates Mcoy Fundales and Ethel Booba left the game for personal reasons.

I have always liked Gaby. Now that the two top guns left the house, there is a big possibility that Gaby could win this.

Meanwhile, we have a new houseguest inside the house and possibly filling up the lacking of musical and comical personality in the house (upon Ethel and Mcoy’s departure)! Gladys Guevarra, the former Eat Bulaga host, just came back from the US and is now here, laud as “Reyna ng Patawa”. Entering the house, mimicking Annabelle Rama and Mahal’s voices and singing Sasakyan Kita.

I really hope she delivers. I think she’s gonna fill Ethel’s place in the house.

As of now, my Final 4 bets are: Gaby, Gladys, Donnie and Riza.
Most likely to be Final 4: Gaby, Donnie, Riza and Ruben.

Major Contenders Ethel and Mcoy Exits the House

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

In a very unexpected and perhaps, one of the most shattering events in the Pinoy Big Brother stint, the top contenders Ethel Booba and Mcoy Fundales made their voluntary exit last night.

Earlier, in UBER, both were interviewed because they exited early morning and were not given formal rites to leave the game since of the tension strucking them hard, against Big Brother.

Kuya then, apologizes for any pain, hurt or hardship that the two have underwent during the game.

Here’s the video.

Big Brother Says Sorry to Ethel and Mcoy
Uploaded by starmometerdotcom

I really didn’t think this will be the ending of both houseguests since they are the two top bets to win it. Other than Ruben because of his financial shortage, Ethel and Mcoy deserves it.

Right now, no one’s impressing me other than this two. Ruben and Yayo are now ahead because of their exit. While Riza and Will, might be surefire Final 4 material.

Victor and Jon might slug up a slot primarily because they are models and they have the fanbase to match for that.

Rumors of Angel Locsin entering the house is spreading the cyberworld. Will this be true?

As I see now, Donnie Geisler might be a darkhorse to win the competition.

As of now, its again, anybody’s ballgame.

DONNIE’S In: Will You Save Baron?

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Pinoy Big Brother website said:

The 24-hour limit reaches its conclusion tonight, signaling the moment of truth between Baron and Donnie’s pressing decision to make. Their mom Mrs. Grace Geisler, who’s with PBB host Toni Gonzaga tonight, shares that she’s equally distressed towards the tough spot they are in. Though we all know that Donnie usually gives in to his brother, she claims that either of her children have the capacity to be selfless in this case. And she’s right.

Way before this crucial point, Big Brother threshed things out with them in turns. For Baron, he believed that he already served his purpose by showing who he really is to the whole world. At the same time, he felt that it would be ‘less damage for himself’ if he goes now. On the other hand, Donnie was confident that he can make it to the Big Four. “I know what to do para wala masabi ang housemates. I know what it takes to get to the top.”

When they finally got the chance to speak with each other though, the Good Brother explains that staying inside the big yellow house is Baron’s chance to shine brighter and to show everyone that he can handle things on his own. Ultimately, Donnie wants his family to be happy, “Do you wanna go back to do that pwede-na-buhay? Ayoko na ng pwede na bro,” he insists.

Unbeknownst to him, Baron completely understands what he’s trying to tell him. Perhaps, he shocks the whole viewers with his unselfish revelation about his ultimate goal in joining the most famous reality show in the land – not for himself but for Donnie. In spite of his personal desire to stay, the Wild Child makes the greatest sacrifice tonight! Tears ran down his face during his heart-to-heart conversation with Big Brother at six-o’clock this evening.

To give them a final morale booster, Big Brother surprises the two with a 100-second encounter with their mother. Mrs. Geisler quickly assures her that everything is alright, leaving it to them to come up with their final decision. Right after she leaves the confession room, Big Brother bestows the responsibility to choose to Baron for a change. And there it goes. Donnie returns alone as a housemate.

However, Barron is not evicted yet! Big Brother gives the viewers the privilege to raise their voice whether you want him in or out. If you want to save him, simply key in Baron space Yes or Baron space No if you want to bid him goodbye, then send it to 2366 for Globe, TM, Sun Cellular and Bayan Wireless subscribers and 231 for Smart and Talk N Text subscribers. In this latest twist of events, the Geisler brothers would not be in a 2-in-1 set-up anymore if you manage to redeem Baron 24 hours from now. The choice is yours!

For the first time in his entire stint in PBBCE2, Baron made the right choice. He gave himself up for his brother Donnie.

Well, nice choice! Since you would be evicted next round if you stayed this week, and that Donnie has a big chance on winning this. :]

But, another catch: We have the power to decide whether Baron stays or not. If he does, he’ll be split up with Donnie. No more 2-in-1.

I voted NO. We only have 24 hours to vote! And please do vote wisely. We don’t need to see him around the house anymore. Enough is enough.

Bye Baron and Mariel. :]

Geislers Evicted; Not Really But Someone Will Go Home

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

I really had hunches that this will happen and I even told Bodie about this. Haha.

PBBCE2_emptyhall1120.jpg
Perhaps the day of the week made a whole lot of difference in this make-believe eviction, making it easier for the housemates to passively accept their fate – from the moment they heard the heart-stopping news in Uber leading to tonight’s episode. First, Toni Gonzaga revealed a hilariously empty Eviction Hall before checking out on Riza, Jon, Baron and Donnie. But instead of seeing agony in their eyes, all four seem to be in high spirits. At the same time, each of them similarly claims that they are ready for anything. The English Outcast even quips, “Medyo chaka ang feeling.”

Then the next thing we see is how Baron asked Big Brother’s permission to date Mariel. And it turns out that it was the reason behind his selfless sacrifice yesterday to keep the whole house spic and span! What’s more surprising however is his decision to offer his hard-earned privilege to Jon, explaining that it was very obvious that Mariel likes the latter a lot. “Mukhang malabo kuya. Wala akong nakikitang magic from her”, he reasons out. More than that however, he is happier to see the floors in its polished glory. Ultimately, he treats it as a good deed done for his beloved housemates.

Unbeknownst to him, his ability to sacrifice will be put to a great test twenty four hours from now. Riza is first to step down from the danger block tonight followed by Jon, leaving the Geislers in a tough spot. Relief seems to flood their whole being after being kept inPBBCE2_twoinoneshock1120.jpg suspense for so long. Mariel on the other hand becomes emotional as she bids the two her last farewell. Then they immediately make their way out. There they learn from Toni that they are yet to hear the full details of their sudden exit from Big Brother himself.

Back on the confession room through a secret entry, Big Brother reveals the most shocking news this season. After five weeks in the big yellow house, he finally breaks the 2-in-1 set-up, which he merely created to see how far their brotherhood will take them despite their complicated status. The two has yet to absorb that they are not really evicted when another twist is landed upon them. Though they can now fully get hold of their respective identities, only one of them can return as housemate! They are given 24 hours to reach a common decision without speaking to each other until Big Brother allows them to do so.

And who will be leaving the house? I guess it’d be Donnie.
But I want him to stay rather than the sloppy Baron, who I always lose my temper on.
This twist was originally from Big Brother England which split the twins they had in the game, and that’s why I totally expected it. So, I guess we’ll be bidding Donnie and Mariel goodbye for this week.

Miss Philippines-World 2007: Maggie Wilson

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

December 1, 2007 — We will see if the Philippines would get its first Miss World crown. Actress-model Margaret Nales Wilson is a tough contender in the Miss World feat. With Nadia Lee Cien Shami and Anna Theresa Licaros (two good bets missing out the Miss International and Miss Universe competition), it is a challenge for the Miss World-Philippines to bag even a semifinalist notch in this year’s competition.

Looking through this picture, Maggie can surely be one of the delegates to watch out. If the voting will push through, I really think she’ll get a fast track to semifinals, but I think there won’t be any for this year.

Good luck to Maggie though! She’s a bet to win the Top Model Award and Swimwear competition too! I hope she gets through to the Top 20 and eventually be a semifinalist or even be the newest Miss World!

Asian Idol Fever: Promo for Mau Marcelo – The Philippine Idol

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Asian Idol, the culmination of the Idol shows in Asia is just around the corner! The contest will be shown twice in RCTI TV (Indonesia) and simulcasted in ABC 5 this coming December 15.

And we are in sure dillema! Because in everytime you vote, you need to vote two people. For us, of course, we would vote for Mau Marcelo! Our own Philippine Idol! Here rendition of “On My Own” gave me the creeps on the Finals night, which probably rocked all the people watching her since its the song who made her win Philippine Idol.

Here are some guidelines:

To vote for your favourite Asian Idol contestants, all you have to do is tune in to the main Performance show on Saturday 15th of December 2007 and follow the voting instructions given by the Host. Remember, to make an official Asian Idol vote, you need to choose your two favourite Idols and vote for them both.
Vote for your favourite Asian Idol contestants via phone and/or SMS. For those under 18, please seek parental consent before participating. Do not start voting until the phone lines are officially declared open. Tune in to the show and wait for the Host’s cue to call, normally indicated by them saying “the lines are open now”.
The Results Show will be telecast LIVE at on Sunday 16th December 2007. Voting will continue until the “Broadcaster” announces ‘on air’ that the lines are closed. Note: There will be NO voting during the Results show.

For me, the good strategy will be voting for Mau and who? Let me think. Indonesian Idol. No.
Indian Idol. Known for texting too. Malaysian contender Jaclyn Victor is a THREAT. Huge THREAT. And of course not Hady Mirza of Singapore Idol. So I’d choose Mau and Vietnam Idol :] if ever.

I Can’t Believe It: Its Megan!

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Yes, Megan was the last casualty in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2, facing tough opponents Ethel Booba, who got 23.72% of the votes and surprisingly, Ruben Gonzaga, Pambato ng mga Regionals, which got a whopping 54.76% of votes.

The Davao and Mindanao region might have been responsible for the turnout of votes. But really, I am so so sad that Megzie, I fondly call her that eh, was the one to go last night. She was sooo gorgeous last night, she was a real princess.

I really hope to see more of her soon. I am glad that her efforts since Starstruck’s now being paid off. She’s getting the fame she wants.

Go Megan! :]

PBB2 Week 4: Megan, Ruben and Ethel Nom’d

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Last Sunday, the new set of nominees were identified. They were the three-time nominated Megan Young (which was two-time saved, first-timer Ruben and Ethel which was saved last week due to Gaby’s voluntary exit. For me, her ousting from the house is both beneficial and dissatisfying. Dissatisfied since she’s one of the best there and she can be physically and mentally one of the strongest in the game. Beneficial that its for her career and really, facing with the roster of houseguests, she doesn’t have that big of a chance to win the title.

Will won the Head of Household which he totally deserved, and I watched the show earlier. Ethel gave me one heck of a night. Super super funny.

Anyways, from the nominees, my guess is Ruben‘s going home.

Ethel will get the highest number of votes.
Megan will get the second highest number of votes.

And its time to say goodbye sa Pambato ng Regionals, cause Ruben’s outta here.

Studying in UP

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Two weeks of semestral break gave me nothing but stressful days of boredom. No allowance for two weeks. Got no one to talk to. Your father giving you small talks about being thrifty and studying hard. Your mother giving you sarcasms. I love you, guys.Hassle, ayt?

The real root of this thing is: I got an almost failing score in Math 54 (Calculus II) and in Physics 72 (Electromagnetism & Optics). I got a passing score in Math naman but they are worrying na kasi para daw nagloloko ako sa pag-aaral since I got a 4.0 in Physics, which was really not why I got that score. Super hirap lang talagang intindihin ng lessons pero kinaya ko naman.

I should have taken the Removal Exams last October 30 if not for some inaccuracies in the grade they gave me. But it was fixed just earlier when I talked to my professor. Things are cleared out na. The only thing I am really worrying is my DOST Scholarship. I really hope I would be granted a second chance since I did pretty amazing in the rest of my subjects. I even got a 1.0 for Physics Lab. How ironic… And got pretty high grades in Communication 3 and Panitikang Pilipino 50.

I want it all fine. I just hope I enlisted lots of subjects. It turns out I have to cancel 4 units. That makes me lacking of Math 55, ES 1 and Physics 72 (9 units). Loooong enlistment and prerog na naman ito. Uber. Kapagod. Ngayon pa lang sa paglalakad ng papers, I’m worn out na.

Please please pray for my scholarship to be continued pa. I have no other financial source kasi.
I promise to double the effort and study harder the next semester para no worries na! Tomorrow, I’ll be going to the DOST office to appeal. Please please please pray for me. :)

But yup, it was a nice reprieve from the usual studying mode I have from studying at the university. And that’s why I’d really want to stick up with my dreams of being an engineer! =)

Ethel Gets Nominated; Megan and Geislers Saved

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Last weekend, Megan was again saved by the majority of votes, getting 50%. As Donnie and Baron gets merely 31%, Zara Aldana (Sephora Mayon) got evicted with the remainder of the votes.

It was highly expected that Zara would get the boot since she was not that famous like the Geislers and Megan. It is also a theory that Megan’s rich status helped her stay in the game.

Though it was disappointing, the viewers know it was coming: Zara, the dethroned Mutya ng Pilipinas 2007 immediately exited the house.

Sunday saw the most shocking nomination so far. I freaking dislike Toni this week, her stay inside the house were always incurred in her spills.

When she was back, she chose four people: Ruben, Baron and Donnie, and Mcoy.

Mcoy Fundales was first saved even if he gathered votes from Victor and Baron. I can’t find a reason to boot him other than he’s a threat. The leader of the house, and the most likely to win this, other than Ethel.

After Mcoy got saved, Ruben Gonzaga was asked to give the Nomination Necklace to Baron and Donald, getting the highest nomination points. 9 points from Will, Megan, Ruben, Mcoy and Jon.

Will, Jon and Victor were the second group. This is the model’s bunch. Will is corky and funny in the house. Jon seemed to be holding back and had gotten issues with Mariel (both good and bad). Victor seems unnoticed in the house and perceived too as lazy and ingenuine.

In the end, Will gathering 1 nomination point was not enough and Jon’s 2 nomination points enabled him to put the 2nd nomination necklace to Victor Basa, who got 4 nomination points from Ethel, Gaby and Yayo.

The third batch were Ethel and Mariel. Mariel was then saved and Ethel got nominated. It was really shocking since she was funny and nice to see in the house. She is definitely the crowd favorite for the Big Win right now.

The fourth batch was composed of Gaby, Yayo and two-time nominee Megan. Toni announced Yayo was safe even if he got 3 nomination points. Apparently, Gaby dela Merced was automatically nominated by Riza Santos (the Head of the Household for this round) due to the thinking that even if she gets nominated, she won’t get the boot. Megan, for the first time was not in the nomination block.

Ethel, Victor and Baron/Donnie joins Gaby at the nomination’s list but Gaby will be having an International Racing Seminar at Arizona, USA, which will be held for three days. Apparently, she has to choose if she’ll stay at the house or not.

Last night, Gaby has just decided to quit her game and go to the racing seminar. The voting for this week was suspended. It’s not clear if the nominees for this week will be void but one thing is sure, this Saturday, Gaby will be leaving the house making history to make the 1st Voluntary Exit at Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition.

My Final 4 As of Now: (Likability + Voting)
1. Ethel
2. Mcoy
3. Megan
4. Will

Likability
1. Mariel (oops!) Ethel
2. Mcoy
3. Riza
4. Gaby (oops!) Will

Hatability
1. Baron
2. Ruben
3. Victor
4. Jon

I am still in for Megan and Ethel for the Big Win. Yayo disappoints me. Sorry. Mcoy’s turning into someone not-so-famous to someone who can steal the Big Win from Megan or Ethel. He’s the darkhorse to win it.
